No, it shouldn't be changed. It was designed as a protection against a foreign power installing a "ringer" into office, and, in essence, taking over the reins of our government. It is not a perfect preventative measure, but it gives us some measure of assurance that someone with basic American values & loyalty will be elected. As we can see from the current administration, though, it doesn't always work out in our country's best interests.

Yes! Including the industrial stuff that's like wax-paper and only 3 inches wide.

I have one, and it's probably the best $40.00 I've ever spent.

Really ? but if something goes wrong with the phone service is there a number they give you to call for help ?.

laugh
It's not readily apparent on their site, but they probably do have one.
The service is reliant upon your broadband internet connection, so all help & support is web-based.

Oh okay.

Do you have to keep your computer on at all times in order to get phone calls ?

Unfortunately, yes. I have it attached & running on an old P3-800 system (no monitor..use Windows XP Remote Desktop to access), along with my home security system. The weak point is power, so I have a small UPS ($49.95) to support my ADSL modem, the HSS unit, and the P3 system. I rarely lose my internet connection itself. My main computer system is attached to a much larger UPS.

Ok.

Sorry what is the UPS and HSS as well as P3 ?

Just a little confused on that part is all.

UPS = Uninterruptible Power System (battery backup)
HSS = Home Security System
P3-800 = Pentium III processor - 800MHz speed

Oh okay thank you for telling me that.

Maybe I should look into the Battery backup.

Also once you have the magic jack hooked up to your pc, does it tell you what your phone will be ? And can you have it unlisted if you want it to be ?.

It will walk you through the activation process. You will be offered a choice of what numbers are available by state/area code. Not all states are available yet, but new ones are added all the time. This can be irritating, but by using a 3rd party service (like GrandCentral) you can get a virtual number (possibly your actual area and/or prefix) to forward your MagicJack number to. This is what I have done. GrandCentral is by user invitation only, but I can send you an invite if you decide to hookup.
As far as I can tell, the numbers are not listed in the standard directories. Mine is registered to "Lordling".

Why would you need an older version?

My MAC is a 10.3.9 and the 11.0 version says it's for 10.5 ? SO I don't think that will work and I don't want to download something for 50.00 and it not work...

Minimum OSX version is 10.4.1. You are going to have to either upgrade the OS or find a bargain bin copy of SAV v9.0/MAC somewhere on an internet clearing house site.

Oh by the way, I haven't read the whole entire thread.

Has anyone even understood the question yet?

Have you had any responses from anyone who even remotely sounded like they actually understood the question?

The problem is that he is basically asking "Where did God come from?" by structuring his question the way he did. The question presumes a certain belief structure, and I'm sure that many more capable minds than ours have struggled with this question (among many others) since the dawn of time. It ends up being similar to asking someone, "Have you ever ###### a sheep that you didn't like?".

"Lordling" the original question simply ask you to answer both parts of it rationally but as you see you have been program to only answer the second part of the original question irrationally

No sir, it did not; it asked only for the rationale to support a negative answer. If you recall, I originally answered "No & No". Since then, all I have done is critique the structure of your question once, because it found it to be inane, and clearly designed to goad "believers" into an argument.

And Funches, you don't know a bloody thing about me, other than what I've posted on these forums, and what is contained in my profile. You may keep your in-depth analysis of my programming, or lack thereof, to yourself. You would also do well not to alienate people that likely have similar views to your own regarding this topic, despite your method of presentation.

Amazing that it has ended up here from "The THEORY of Evolution". The thread hast run amok (as do they all, when religion is involved).

Who wants to brave those bronze beauties
Lying in the sun
With their long soft hair falling
Flying as they run
Oh they smile so shy
And they flirt so well
And they lay you down so fast
Till you look straight up and say
Oh Lord,
Am I really here at last?

Right tune, wrong artist...well maybe not wrong, but I had a different group in mind.

I didn't know there was a 2nd remake until I looked it up..."For Sandra"? Ink Spots originally, I think.

My Prayer...The Platters, friend of mine turned me on to the tune. Veeerrrry romantic, sigh....blushing

Yes it is...Seems the better the song, the more artists record it...add Harry Connick, Jr. and P.J. Proby to the list.

So, do I get a pass, or would you like to post another? smooched
