Is he interested?
|
|
I dated a cop for 3 1/2 years. I thought he was a great guy. I trusted him completely. Yes, he was VERY hard to get close to. Yes, he acted indifferent at times yet kept calling. He was interested but not overly so. We were comfortable together. I worked in dispatch so we could vent and understand each other. It was easy.
Then, 3 years later, I found that he was online surfing... not for porn.. but for p***y. Literally out looking for a casual sex partner online. He'd visited it over 75 times in about 2 weeks... I wasn't even thinking he was cheating. I was housesitting while he was on vacation with his parents and brothers. I was checking my email on his computer and got an instant message from some girl (his messenger automatically came on when you started the thing). It got me to thinking so I checked the history and TAAADAAAA! Then it took six more months and the threat of a restraining order on the advice of a cop from another jurisdiction. Messy. I say tread lightly. Listen to what he says, not what his actions seem to say to you. If he says he doesn't want a girlfriend, he doesn't want a girlfriend. If he says that yet still wants to hang out he's only looking to hang out with someone. You will want more than he's willing to give. |

Don't worry it's really hard to meet people. I am surrounded by people all day and all I want to do after work is go home and relax. So, while I am outgoing as heck, I rarely meet new men. And I'm not the kind of hairstylist who dates her clients... so I too have been single for over 2 years now.
I think it will happen if and when it's supposed to. ANd by trying the iinternet dating thing I feel like I'm helping it out some. You know? One lady said, "every pot has a lid" well I think I might be a skillet or a griddle... and that might be all right. You play music in front of people yet you are shy?? That's different. I do get it though, being under the scrutiny of one is so intense... at least in a crowd there will be at least one that digs you! |

Kindergarten, we were playing "kissing girls" where if you were chasing a boy you had to kiss him. Well I caught him, kissed him and he started crying. hmmmm.... might explain a few things now huh??!!

BUT! as plenty of "wise" people have said, "I don't understand, I don't have kids"
But it's probably a good thing, I wouldn't be caught dead trying to count to 3 or putting my kid in time out, it's called smack that @$$ and take away priveldges... |
|
|
|
Hmmm... it's a shame that people put their kids on leashes these days... but they won't put the DOG on one.
I think while it may have it's place with a special needs child, it's completely ridiculous on a normal kid. And the kid shouldn't be ashamed to wear one, the parent should be b/c I see it and think, "hmmm, I guess they haven't figured it out yet." |

People who are rude REALLY grind my gears!
Like the lady whom I nicely asked to take her pet out of my place of business b/c of state laws and she replied, "In a minute"... IN A MINUTE???? IN A MINUTE???? excellent, that's just enough time for me to kill the little bastard! NOW GET HIM OUT OF HERE! |

More than one?
|

I think when you're on a dating site like this, it should be expected that you will be getting to know more than one person at a time. So unless you are leading all of the people you are talking with to believe they are the only one... Would it benefit you in anyway to point out that you are getting to know "more than one"? And when one emerges as the most special it shouldn't tear up the others if you share that with them.
I don't know though. I haven't set any high expectations on these sites, I really like the forums though! |

I dont like it when some one whom dont eveion no me thanks thay do and bad mouths some one bye there spelling like as if thay are all good at everythang in life This quote took me like 10 minutes to figure out what you were saying... "some one" is one word... "dont" has an apostrophe in it... "eveion" is not a word... "no" is a way of expressing negative answer you should have used "know"... "thanks" is a way of showing appreciation and I am THINKING you meant to say "thinks"... "thay" is not a word... get the picture? Sure it's phonics. But you still didn't use any punctuation. Most people had to learn to read actual books which spell things correctly and use punctuation. If the messages you send to women look anything like this quote, then it's no wonder you can't find a girl friend. It's not about looks. BTW. and I'm not here to rip you apart, but you asked! |

FWB's typically don't pan out in the end is what everyone is saying. Of course that is if you are thinking the end result should fall into a category... like you BOTH fall in love and stay together forever? Hmm seems like the FWB thing is out hte door then.
Here's the thing, it can work... but only until someone takes the situation and wants more from it. see? |

You just do it. Life is too short to not explore something that needs to be explored. The JSH guy should understand. Be honest and up front.

Text him back and say, "Yes it is a bad time for me. I really don't want to tlak to you. In fact you DID make a mistake, but it's too late to go back. So every time will be a bad time as far as you're concerned. Now let me get on with my life. Thanks!"

That was awesome! perfect... too bad they can't all get busted like that.
I started watching "Fatal Attraction" on cable tonight and realized that Michael Douglas' character deserved what Glenn Close put him through. Married men should NEVER flirt with single women. Ridiculous! I changed the station. |
