Confusion runs rampant

The Roads We Travel

Together we share
A common bond,
Friends and spirits
Where hearts will mend.

A place where only
The hearts have found
A comforting silence
As knowledge begins.

Within this circle
While we commune
Our light grows stronger
As we are imbued

Grandma

A shadow cast of angel
Yet made human by her tears
She is strong and loving
Yet the human wears her fears.

In her eyes is shown a measure
Of what life for her should be,
In her heart there is a treasure...
Most won't ever see.

Most times she treads in silence
While guarding her deep cares.
Confused and deeply searching,
That's why she often stares.

Her aura seems to glow
When she finds a happy face
Yet illusions seem so real
When she finds that special place.

To those who see her truly,
Her age just seems to fade,
Transformed into an angel
That waits to fly away.

Though her mind is like a child
She sings just like a bird
Sometimes she's awfully funny
And sometimes she's never heard.

So many close don't know her
And some refuse to see
She's preparing for a trip
Somwhere where she'll be free.

Behind those staring eyes
Way past the hurts and woes,
Take comfort that she's forgiven you
Though you think she just don't know.

She might have many names
Though she might not have a clue
It's all a part of growing up
And going somewhere new.
