The way I thot that it would be;
The smile that came across your face
Had nothing to do with me-

It was only my imagination
Your heart was somewhere else
You never felt any love
Except the love of yourself

I was an opportunity
My heart slung open wide
and I gave so freely
All it held inside

But you took, then took some more
Thats all you know to do
Everybody warned me
But I saw the best in you-

But standing here now
with my empty heart
All it holds is tears
I realize why I shut me off
And lived behind my fears.

Its a cruel world Im sad to say
theres on heart break on both sides-
Those who believe and those who dont
and we all wonder why?

The ones who believed got taken
and now their faith is gone
Those who didnt- see why they dont
And just keep moving along.
