The polls are affected by the racists in this country that is for sure so to say he is failing is a bit of an exaggeration. Ya know. I asked, quite politely, that people put a little more thought into their posts than it takes to just break out the " they're all racists " card. But you just couldn't manage it. Race is such a talking point for you that you just couldn't possibly form a thought without having to throw that in. Even with just the black vote and the Hispanic vote Obama could not have got into office. So there are plenty of white folks who voted for him.
In no way did I indicate otherwise. I have been watching him as I have done each president that I have voted for before and like all of them I have moments where I feel he is excellent and other times when I am disappointed.
Over all he is doing good and I will vote for him again. I will always look past race when voting. I will never look past being too far right. But too far left doesn't seem to bother you in the slightest. How about voting for someone who has the best interest of EVERYONE in mind?? That couldn't possibly work, could it? |

...for the nearest tree suitable for lynching me...but....this thought occurred to me tonight while I was bored at work...
There was a large amount of noise made, when Obama was elected, about this country being in the " post racial " era. A " black man " got elected President of the United States. These are not MY words. They are the words heard from almost every major news outlet for WEEKS after the election. Now...as everyone well knows...there are many MANY people ( of ALL races, so don't start in with the " they're just racists and hate Obama because he's black " bullspit. Put a little more thought than that into your responses please ) who don't think that Obama's plans are benefiting the country at this point. That being said, if his current approval don't improve dramatically in the next couple of years...how much chance do you think ANY African American has of ever reaching the position of President again? Do you think the majority of voters would be willing to give another African American a chance at the presidency? What if the person in question was of a far more conservative lean than Obama seems to be? Would the voters be willing to look past the skin color ( again ) and give another a shot at making up for Obama's perceived failure(s)? I am NOT questioning Obama's competency. Don't start calling me a " racist " or any of the other shite people like to spout around here. I am only asking this question based on current approval statistics and because the thought happened to occur to me tonight. |

Contemplates a hose or a big bucket of ice water.... Easy goes it guys. I do believe most everyone has been enjoying the thread so no need to get bent out of shape over it. My shape was perfectly fine until ole Captain Clueless decided to start in on me. |

And you know what JustaGuy? This is my topic, you came here and stir the crap just because something made your grape sour. I happen to have a whole bunch of grapes. None of them are sour. I came here to " stir the crap "?? If I recall correctly....at no point ( until you decided to start in with me ) did I respond to anything you had said. However, your response to what I said to ANOTHER USER only points out that I was pretty accurate in my assessment. |

LOL...you called me pissing and moaning the first place, and then somehow it upsets you that I write posts on a dating forum. What do you want singles to write about? About their successes? Than they wouldn't be singles in the first place, would they?
Not to mention you have been doing it yourself although restrict it to the political forums doing that so. Does posting with bold fonts make things more powerful and meaningful? I call it as I see it. Whining about how many views you get, yet no messages....take it for what you will. Kinda pathetic to me. Did ya need an ego stroke when ya posted this thread?? I kinda figure you KNEW that there would be at least a couple of women who would do the drooling that you seem to need. Doing WHAT on the political forum?? Calling out bullspit when I see it?? Nothing unusual there. As far as the bold font... Not all of us have perfect eyes. I'm not looking for " powerful " or " meaningful ". I'm just looking for easier to read. |

Not that "gorgeous" and "dude" comments got me very far now, did it? LOL and it's you who have a profile picture with a woman in it now..how is that for being a hypocrite?
What in the blue hell are you talking about?? For one....I wasn't speaking to you in that post. For another..you have an awful lot of balls in calling me a hypocrite. Wassamatter??? Don't like seeing the truth when you get called out for fishing for compliments?? It's amazing how many people will call out women for being attention whores, yer completely ignore when a guy is doing it. And just what is your problem with me anyway, I noticed how tightly you criticize anything I post. :sad
Where and when?? I have spoken in reply to something you have said MAYBE three times the entire time I have seen you on this site. I think you must have me confused with someone who actually gives a rat's azz about what you have to say. You know, don't think that I didn't email a bunch of people and my usual emails aren't 2 words....but usually spend about 20 minutes writing each.
Good for you. Are you looking for kudos?? I have written quite a few emails myself. They are all spelled properly and contain more than a few words too. So what? I also had months that I had zero views, regardless of how much I posted or what I changed..it didn't matter. Not to mention the "lookers" are - I have to say - don't mean a damn thing.
But yet, here you are with a thread pissing and moaning about how many people look but don't message you. Again I ask....so what??? Should everyone that even looks at your profile be required to send a message?? Maybe you should suggest that Mingle add that to the rules. My replies? Sometimes I get 1 or 2 (out of 10 emails sent out) but that's like "good luck to you" or "wish I lived closer" or "you shouldn't be single".. and then that's it. If i follow up on it, most of the time I get a silence or a similar repeat of the same old "you will find someone" and similar comments.
And then you come into the forums and make a post about it so that some women will fawn over you and let you know how handsome and " deep " and yadda yadda yadda you are. For some reason, you seem to take issue with the fact that I call things as I see them. Even though, the VAST majority of the time, they have absolutely nothing to do with anything you have said. And yet you have the gall to call me out and say that I am a hypocrite? You seriously have me confused with someone else. Either that or you have been laying for an opportunity to start in with me. Either way...be careful what you wish for. OH!! One quick little addition. There is a BIG difference between you and I. Where you would send out a hundred emails trolling for someone to rise to the bait...I sent out ONE because I was looking for someone in particular. Unlike you ( so it would seem ) it takes quite a lot to get me interested. |

OMG did you people complain when gas prices hit four bucks a gallon under Bush? Lets face it thats what sent the economy over the edge everyone was broke! WHen the entire auto industry shut down did you people blame Bush? You folks are not being intelectualy honest, at least Obama sees the problemb and is trying to correct it. He didnt make the problembs they were there when he was elected and thats why he was elected because the republicans dropped the ball so bad! Ok going to laugh myself to sleep. ever since cash for clunkers was such a huge succsess I have been working twelve hours for the past two weeks had one sunday and monday off for memorial and worked straight through this weekend with twelves all next week. Thank you President Obama for saveing th auto industry As a matter of fact I DID " blame Bush " when the auto industry fell apart. Him and EVERY OTHER PRESIDENT who made it more profitable and a whole lot easier for industry to send jobs across the borders and overseas. I don't give a rat's azz that the " problems were there " when he got elected. The fact is IT'S HIS JOB TO FIX IT and his current policies are not going to fix anything. Thank Obama for " saving " the auto industry when the 2 million OTHER people that have been laid off from that industry are back to work. Until then, he hasn't saved a DAMN thing. |

With that understanding, its probably safe to use common sense and apply the 'allocating' principle in place of the word 'create' and expect that government is talking about the same thing whichever word it chooses. I understand, from the standpoint of where the money is coming from, there is a difference between government jobs and private sector jobs, however, this does not change the impact on the economy that people being able to work, pay their bills, and purchase goods and services has. Not to mention, the ability for people to afford the education for themselves and their children to potentially have the skills to work in private sector jobs,,,,,its all linked together
The fallacy in that thinking is this... How does the government PAY for those jobs?? By raising taxes to pay for them. That LESSENS people's ability to " pay their bills, purchase goods and services ". Higher taxes also will reduce a person's ability to put money away for their children's education. Higher taxes ALSO cause businesses to NOT HIRE new workers. So all those government jobs are doing more to hurt the population than it helps them. Bingo! That's what I'm tryin to say! Unfortunately, there are just too many people who refuse to see that what Obama is doing has no chance of success. They want all the " feel good " stuff to be true, when simple economics clearly shows that it CAN'T WORK. |

Well..at least we know who he's kidding now.
With all due respect, he's got you completely and utterly snowed. His " plans " have had little effect. The " stimulus " has been a complete and utter failure. The bailouts for the banks...same thing. Will Obama ever realize that Government can't create jobs and that only private industry ( which Obama hates ) is the only thing that DOES create jobs?? Until he does...there will be no recovery and no " hope and change ". |

Come on now. It's been pointed out many times by a certain poster here that " Promise " only means " I'll try " in Obamaland. Once again...the Obamabots will come up with SOME kind of " soft language " to make sure the spin goes the way they want it to. Just look at ole Barry himself. "This report is a sign that our economy is getting stronger by the day," Obama told a crowd at a suburban truck dealership in Maryland.
Who in the HELL does he think he's kidding. The economy is in the toilet and is NOT getting any better. Jobs are NOT being created. Several MILLION people out of work ( an awful lot of them not even being counted ) and 41,000 jobs is a " sign of recovery "??? What fantasy land is he living in?? It sure as HELL isn't the United States. a decrease in job losses may be seen as recovering,, its not really that fantastic,,,just simple numbers I rest my case. Psst...by the way... A " decrease in job losses " is NOT a " recovery ". CREATING JOBS ( and not just temporary GOVERNMENT jobs )is the recovery. |
