Bottom line. You weren't good for each other then. That is not going to change just because she's having a baby. In fact, it will drag a precious child into the mix too.
WRONG on SOOOOOOOO many levels. |

When I divorced my ex-husband my ring was already gone. It was one of many things pawned to afford food (at the time) for my children.
The rest is history |

There's a site that recently started sending me matches that they claim are specially selected for me. They even call it their "Scientific Matching Service." Apparently, "science" has taken a big hit since I was in school. Every one of these scientifically-matched, specially-selected match-candidates has kids. So i tried to contact the site and explain the problem to them, but all I got back was a form letter "Thanks for writing, we hope you continue to enjoy our site, blah blah blah blah, we don't have any actual people in the office, the whole place is run by orangutans wearing red hats, blah blah blah...." So, either they don't know what they're doing, or my worst fears have been confirmed, and every female in the entire universe already has kids ("AND THEY ARE MY WORLD!!!") -- what's a confirmed non-breeder to do? Whatever it is, I hope it doesn't involve science.... Uhhhhhhhhhh marry Melody????? |

That's a ridiculous hike in rent! Will remember you in prayer and KNOW God has a perfect place for you. He sees your plight
Tip: SIMPLIFY .. moving is a great time to dump all the stuff you don't use or need. It's healthy for your soul |

OK, right now, I'm feeling a little confused, lonely, and frustrated. Today is my birthday, and, frankly, it would be nice not to have to spend it alone. But I really don't have any other options, so alone I spend it. Generally, the whole "being alone" thing doesn't bother me all that much -- I'm getting used to it, and, if it starts to bother me, I just think back about how truly horrendous all of my past relationships were. The "don't want to relive THAT mess" philosophy keeps me going some days. But on a day like this, I can't help but think it would be nice to have someone in my life. I was in a pretty serious car accident in Feb. of 2009, after which all of my real life "friends" just vanished, leaving me to put the pieces of myself back together. I have no family, so there was no one to turn to. And there still isn't. And there are times it gets discouraging. (((((((((((((((((( LEX )))))))))))))))) I would have partied like a Rock Star with ya if you had lived close enough. It IS nice to have someone in your life. Someone who cares if you made it home thru a snowstorm. I mean my children care, I have tons of friends who care, but a relationship is all on it's own. Know we ARE here for you my friend |

way to go Ocean being confident enough to go places you want to go by yourself is a big plus. Been doing that for years and it really does help to fill in some of the gaps. You know I used to see it as confidence too. But then someone told me they don't do it because they enjoy sharing an experience with someone else. They don't enjoy going somewhere alone because they would have no one to share it with. Interesting take. But I'm glad the OP had fun and pushed past her comfort zone |

So in other words, online dating is just for flirtin around and killin time? I am new to being online dating. I was married for ten years and had the task of evading men. Now it's like they wont come near me with a ten foot pole. I wish! Murphy's law is steadily at work here. Well i am having a blast on these forums at least I get to talk to people above the age of 10. That alone is a reward all in it's own. No it is not just for flirting. I've been online dating for 7 years. Met tons of guys IN person, dated a boatload, had a couple LTR's out of it all. Just sayin if you are weak at heart it won't work for you. We all go through what you were mentioning. It's just life hon. |
