Um, vapid would be the preference I'd say, although no one would admit it.

I've had many people tell me I'm too smart, too serious.... Whatever. I'm definitely not too serious....

Wow - okay. Thanks for the feedback!

No, I mean men want vapid, but would not admit it. Not that you are. I meant that you stay true to you, it's not you....it's them. Seriously.

Gotcha ~ I do appreciate the clarification...seriously! flowerforyou

I think it would be helpful to have a feature on the site that provides profile feedback....well, OFFICIAL feedback, that is. Like the online Resume Writer programs, you know!

I've always wondered if my profile is TO wordy, but don't feel the need to post it in the "Rate My Profile" section. Not THAT curious! Most guys just think I'm to "serious." what I didn't know that was a bad thing. oops slaphead tongue2

Alot of you know that I am a believer in God. I don't push my beliefs on anyone, but I do tell people that I believe in HIM. I get asked alot of times how can I prove God's existense. And, as usual, it is hard to just prove he exists. But, something happened in my family a few weeks back that just proves to me that he is their.

My nephew, Jamey, was in a horrible car accident. His was driving home late one night, and was making a turn when he lost control of his truck. He flipped it nine times, and was thrown from the truck. When I got the call as to what had happened, he was in surgery. Basically, he was fighting for his life, and the Doctor's were not all that optamistic that he would make it. He had four fractures in the back of his head, but that wasn't the worst part. He had a blood clot hemmorage on his brain, the size of a golfball, and if they didn't move fast enough, he was going to die.

Today, he is home, after only being in the hospital for two weeks (they thought he would be their for at least a month), can walk (but he has to wear a helmet) and is getting better day by day. He has a long road ahead of him as to his recovery, but what is amazing is that he is doing so well, so fast. Even the doctor's are shocked by it.

The morning I found out about his accident, I cried. He is 20 years young, and I helped to raise him when my step brother was a single dad. I spent alot of time with this kid, and to know that he could die just hurt me so much. I know that people die, and we never are promised tomorrow, but I prayed so hard he would live. I know alot of people were praying, and we still are. But Jamey is now living proof (at least to me) of their being a God. The doctor who did the surgey looked at my step brother before Jamey was set to leave the hospital and said to him, "That boy is a miracle. A living breathing miracle."

I know this thread is about the magic of love in relationships, but I felt this was good to post here too. Cause their is magic in life folks.

I believe....and will keep Jamey, you, and your family in my prayers!

In a world full of lab-created pearls, I tend to shop for a genuine pearl. One that has allowed the sands of time to shape and mold it into the unique treasure that it is. A pearl wrapped so tightly in it's own shell, with little exposure to the world around it, will not be capable of sharing it's own brilliant and true color, or fully appreciate and understand the sand in my shell.

Genuine, open to what life has to offer, and able to shine ~ either on a strand or as a solitary gem ~ that's a rare and precious find! flowerforyou

Single pearls are a hot item. bigsmile
The setting should enhance the pearl, and vice versa.

Speaking of settings...did you PLAN the pearl ads that are popping up on your post? Very clever!

I dunno - maybe writing the checks this morning for my mortgage, utility bills, insurance, my children's doc bills, etc. made me semi-adult like.

But, then having my little girl beat the crap out of me playing the card game Spit brought me back down a notch. ohwell

I understand completely...nothing like paying the bills to remind you of the many responsibilities demanding your attention. Kids are great about helping you keep things in perspective and finding a balance between doing what you must, and enjoying what you should!

Play Scrabble next, I bet YOU win this time!

What's an adult?

I'm getting smarter but being an adult is still optional IMO.

Good point, but I would like to FIND an adult...who knows how to have fun, of course!

googling a potential interest is fair game?

Fair or not, I google before I meet someone.

So do I. Pretty common, I guess. I even had a date bring his Goggle printout the first time we met cause he wanted to talk about it. Ok....that was a little weird. He could have just asked!huh
