I agree to some extent, but think that motivation and self-worth should come from within.
Having people in your life who love and inspire you, who see the person that you really are and value that; They helps us see ourselves more clearly and remember why we are loved in the first place. That is inspiring!

Well, I hope no one judges my sons because they are from a "broken home." That wasn't their fault!
I can say from personal experience that most of us in that situation are pretty good at managing holidays and schedules, finding balance, understanding compromise, and putting the needs and feelings of others first (our kids). Broken or not, those are pretty good traits in a partner.

Handmade usually requires more thought & time, so I know when I receive one that the person made a special effort. That means alot to me, and because handmade are more personal I feel like I get a small part of them in the process. That's nice!
