Because of the economy, Michigan has been taking a really bad rap for a while now. While Detroit really is falling apart at the seams, Michigan has some of the most beautiful scenery to rival just about anywhere in the country. We may not have mountain views here, but we have more coastline than anyone. We have natural and man made wonders. The people, although somewhat ' beaten down ' by our economic situation, are some of the friendliest in the country. Anyone who decided to take in some of those sites would NOT be disappointed. totally agree, J.A.G., that's what I've been sayin' for years. |

I no longer have a pet, but someday I hope to again. And when I do, he's gonna have to at the very least, get along with the pet. And I am a total animal lover--I can't remember one that didn't like me. Hmmm...maybe I should just give up on a man and get a dog...  that's fine, I hope you do. Sometimes we find ourselves in a "love me love my pet" situation. I was wondering what everyone thought about this subject. For you missCher, might I suggest either a Siberian Husky or a Golden Retriever, if you're into dogs. I think they're beautiful and loyal loving dogs. But you go with what your heart tells you, I just pray you adopt from an animal shelter and not one of the puppy mills or pet stores.

Wow good words. I do agree with that and just needed a reminder that I can't expect all men to be jerks and play with my heart...thank you  Time for Goof rant, cause a statement like this just irks me. I mean.......REALLY? You got played by a dude. And so you felt that all men were jerk. That's original. I have been done wrong by a woman. And, I know that, in my past, I had a bad break up with an ex that I wish I had done differently. But I don't put the blame on anyone. Surely not on women (cause you guy know Goof loves the women...hehe). Anyways, I am not attacking you. Just the statement, and the sentiment in general. I truly don't get why people do this when they get burned. It's called life, and not all experiences are good. You have to experience life, or live in a freaking shoe or something. I know getting burned hurts. Hell, I think we all can attest to that. But if we allowed feelings like this to run us, then there would be no hope at all. And that, in Goof's opinion, sucks balls. Ok. I am done. Goof out! Goof, your way with words inspires me. And THAT does not suck balls.  I do what I can Chrissy.....right or wrong, Goof does it his way.  Never change Goof, never change! You are cool just the way you are!

I've had so many epiphanies lately, maybe God is trying to tell me something. What is love? Well, it only took me 40 years, but now I know. It is when you give up your own self importance for the one you're with whether it be a husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend. You come second, and everything you do, earn, accomplish, celebrate, is for them, not you. You ask for nothing in return. You may one day, recieve nothing, but you know in your heart, you gave it 100%, and you love this person, and you will give everything for, and make whatever sacrifices you need to, to show how much you love them. You should always forgive when they fall, and pick them up, and hold them in your loving arms. You should always be honest and true, and hold nothing back, good or bad, embarassing or not. You should both learn and grow from each other, and not hold on to your own selfish needs or tastes. I now know what real love is thanks to an angel that was sent down to me. God bless her and watch over her.

Could someone actually define ' long distance '??? How far away does one have to be for it to be considered a " long distance " relationship?? More than two hours drive time??? More than a three hour flight?? I guess most people are considering "long distance" to be any area out of their comfort zone. My bf and I met on here... and we were over 2500 miles apart. But if you really click with someone, distance is only a number... pretty much what most people say about age... Absolutely true. Can I quote you on that?

Always wondered about this. When you date someone for the first time, or, if you have been with them for awhile.
How does your pet recieve them? Or how are you recieved by their pet? Whether it be a dog, a cat, a snake, ferret, iguana, or even birds. How do your pets react when you bring someone home. I'll tell you my funny story after people have a chance to respond. Is it an omen? Or do we read too much into what our pets think about our prospective dates? What do you think? |

OMG!! 3 months of talking, 1 meetup, & then possibly marriage? What is this world coming too? Great you two have hit it off & found the loves of your life!!!!! Congratulations!!!!! thank you, Tess, it's been one wild ride and enjoyable from the start with her. She is absolutely fantastically amazing. I have given her my heart and she's given me hers. She is one in a hundred billion. My heart sings every time I hear her voice, or she kisses me, hugs me, hold my hand, etc. She is so right for me, and I cry with joy everytime I think about how long, all my life, it's took to find such a beautiful angel like her.  I appreciate and cherish everyone's blessings, and they feel like manna upon us. Thank you.

Hi everybody, this thought just came to me. How many of you usually have more than one, maybe 3 or 5 or 10 windows open at the same time when you're on the internet? I find myself doing that alot. It took some getting used to, but now, I kind of enjoy it. Can you multi-task?  Well...when I was repairing computers, before I retired...I would have as many as 10 computers at the same time on the work benches. All of them at different stages of diagnostic or repair process at the same time. I had a regular office chair with wheels, and I would wheel myself from computer to computer to basically repair/diagnose , keeping up with what was wrong with each. I guess you could call that multitasking. Even now, I keep at least 7+ browser pages open at all time...while logged onto several sites. Yea...it is a way of computing for me.  It's all good as long as you can do it. Sometimes it reminds me of those people that play several slot machines at once, or play 5 or more bingo cards, or cooking an entire meal and have to watch several pots at once. I am always amazed at myself and other people for what comes naturally to them at multi-tasking. Maybe they would have been a good drummer or pianist. It also makes you a good parent and/or a spouse. |

Well, I never thought it would happen, but it's only down to one thing now for me that I cannot live without. My sweet Erica. Everything else doesn't matter, only her. I guess I know what love is after all this time. Because I've found the true absolute love with her. It's nice to be able to finally let go, and do things for her rather than just for me. It's all about "us" now, and that feels right to me.   Thank you, babe, I feel the same way about you. I never thought I'd find love again, but I am so very happy I have found it again!! ...  ... And the Mingle Orchestra swelled in accompanying time! ... Aww, snap, too cute Dancere! Thank you, God bless you!

I would and I could,,,go ANYWHERE,,that I felt I had a chance for that lady to really fall in love with me... WEEKENDS are COOL,,but THATS NOT LOVE,,,lol,so as to FIND LOVE. YES,,,I would go within the STATES,,anywhere.... AND,,I would TAKE WITH ME,,,,,MANY SMILES!!!!           MANY!!!!!!!!!! Terr, man, you have that rebel-adventure spirit, just like me. And like me, you will soon find one hell of a woman. Believe in the miracle, it's gonna happen to you soon, my brother. Erica and I are both praying that you find the One. Aside from those who just date to put a notch in their belts... Do you think dating is only about finding a relationship? Are there other reasons for dating someone? Very intriguing question. I will pretend you are asking me. Well I was asking everyone, but really you just said what you've seen other people do, you never answered what you would or wouldn't do ... if you were still dating that is. I would say that given my experience observing other people, that dating can mean a whole host of other things, if not a pursuit of a relationship some are good some are bad. Some will do it for fun/partying. Some will do it to cope with the desire to not be alone or bored. Some will do it because they like the idea of using each other to get what they want. Some will do it because they need a friend. Some will do it because they love and desire the attention and it boosts their own self importance. Some will do it because there's that one chance in a million that this one person they go on a date with, just might turn out to be, the One. Aww, okay, Davey. As I'm sure you are aware right now. I found the love of my life, Erica. Miss Utah, some of you may know her as RedSoxFan1. I have been on here since September, with my expectations wide open since then. If it was just a dinner date, a movie, a night on the town, the bar, or just for me and a beautiful lady to spend time with, I would have been cool with that. But then "she" walked into my life, an angel, one who I have been praying for all this time, and I found her, and she found me, and we are now inseparable. It's so good to be in love again. It's so good to feel joy again, I am so very happy, and I hope you, my brother will too one day soon.
