I have heard this stuff before from people that are trying to "quote"
"bibical" word...or from people that what to dominate and abuse...It is
just plain sick and is never the way a healthy relationship should be
going in either direction...

more than ten times....but I do not give up searching for that LTR
love...get up...brush myself off, grieve and keep looking

I Love that Auburn..that sums it up for me. In my life, I have never
regreted loving anyone whether it happened slow or fast. I believe
giving and receiving on all levels is what that is about...lust is not
love and infatuation is not love either. As we mature we learn more
about love and avoid the pitfalls...but the risk of meeting people and
developing love for someone is the greatest experience in life...hands
down. I can't moralize to anyone about speed or risk...just hope that
your journey brings you love; laughter and lessons.

I agree with others that none of this can be mandated..I work in hospice
care and help people complete the documents but no government should be
making people do such things....smacks of big brother and 1984
(Orwellian predictions can come true)

Yes that described my childhood but not completely...each era has it's
downside and our had the good bad and ugly. I'm an old dog so I relate
to the old fashioned ways and that is how I have tried to raise my kids
so they will know where being a good person in a hard world is rooted.
Excellent post and food for thought and discussion. What would our kids
(20 somethings?) remember fondly? There must be some young folks here
that can speak to that. I remember how my grandparents thought my
parents jitterbugging was scandalous and my parents thought rock and
roll was scandalous.
Unfortunately, the information has made processing what comes at us much
more complicated. The military industrial complex has ended life as many
of us knew it into the high tech age and the globe getting smaller and
smaller.

Well, being a kind of shy and a newbie I never officially introduced
myself but already have a few friends here. Sorry if I offended anyone
not formally introducing myself but I really didn't know it was expected
and I am glad people are talking about there feelings here. Thanks.

This community is like all others in this universe...the friction and
the love; the good; bad and the ugly; the comings and goings; and each
community whether a website, village town or city has it's own little
unique qualities. I have seen the same things here as in other
communities and I take the attitude of caring, concern, fun and
curiousity and most of all not to take it all too seriously. If a person
attacked me with vulgarity I would say the same as Lex....and then let
it go. We all belong, pure and simply; even the people who are nasty
until they get booted for breaking the ground rule. And to all my new
friends and friends from CS here now; you all are great!! Times a
wastin' make the most of this day!! Oceans is coning to visit me
today........our first meeting!!

this from a nifty little 100 pg. book called, Yes or No: A Guide to
Better Decision Making by Spencer Johnson...you can google it and find
this book online...wish my parents or my school had taught me the stuff
I found in this simple little guide..it has helped me a lot...I also use
the I Ching and have since I was 13 which is ancient guide and can be
found for free online....
