It doesn't matter... similar values but race? that is really not an issue. I don't see how that would matter at all.

uhm.... honestly no, but I'm biased.

Personally I've never been married. I'm afraid of the "wedding" thing myself. I've never met anyone willing to foresake the wedding. Always the "but my family would expect a wedding" would come up and that would freak me out. I can't walk down the aisle. I can't. I can do commitment just not the other thing.

I know plenty of people in their late 30s and 40s who've never been married. Maybe a lot of folks have opted into careers and other aspects of life more than the marriage and family thing? I am not sure, however I don't think it makes anyone dysfunctional.

I'm so biased.

Honestly there is nothing wrong with it. People do die. They divorce etc. No one wants to be the rebound and some people are scared for stupid reasons, however if you're open and honest... there is no reason she shouldn't be.

uhm....Poetry.... that would make me wanna rip my eyes out.

I'm sort of really picky about poetry and honestly most people can't write it to save their lives. I don't think that the amount of affection I have for someone would make me like the poem. I would probably not be able to squirm or make a face or vomit.
