Just a guess...but maybe women just dont know what to say to a 27y/o Pokemon addict....
type, what is this supposed to mean? Read last post and although I proclaimed Addict, I struggle to find the time to play these days and also get bored fairly easily of it, I do enjoy other games of course, Skyrim, Halo, Medieval Total War to name a few. Doesn't make me a bad person. If the only difference between 2 people were that one plays pokemon and the other drinks a lot, smokes, does drugs then explain to me whats so bad about being a "geek"? |

Don't fret friend. That person is not into gammers. Look elsewhere. Cheers. Also don't tell them your into Pokemon. Jkd. Look for gammers. Runner available, seeking Tanis. To be fair though, the only reason I am into Pokemon is because if Pokemon wasn't apart of my life then I would be totally insane now because that time would likely have been used to overthink and depress myself about the reasons that no one else appears to be this Dark/Psychic type. Pokemon came AFTER the many failures and is as useful as Alcohol to an Alcoholic, it is my coping method with being lonely but isn't the reason I am lonely but could now be an added reason to why I can't find anyone as it has likely reduced my outgoings significantly and if someone that liked me found out that I play Pokemon could be the penultimate reason to turning me down. If only my Psychic typing actually meant that I was a mind reader, I doubt I'd have this problem |

So I am sick and tired of hearing those words
your just not my type? Now this is hurtful, because it is clearly that you don't dislike me because I am dull, boring, stupid, immature, skint, weak etc Instead you just don't think we are the same type, what is this supposed to mean? I would rather "I just don't find you attactive" or "you are a total loser" because at least it gives me some indication as to why I can't find anyone who likes me. So being a total Pokemon addict as my primary way of coping with being a total loner, I find it somehow Ironic that in Pokemon all pokemon have different types. Some are Water type, Fire type, Electric type and so on (total of 18 types) and some can be dual type so Fire/Ground type for example. So I thought that I needed to work out what type I am and try to find someone who is the same type as me. I created an attempted question based "quiz" to determine what type I was. You only need to answer 3 questions and there are 324 possible outcomes. After creating and testing this quiz on myself I have discovered that I am Dark/Psychic type. The only Pokemon with this typing in its fully evolved form is Malamar. So if there happens to be any ladies out their who also happen to be Dark/Psychic type then look no further. |

If religious people want to listen to the "knowledge" of one book from thousands of years ago against everything that we have learnt in the last year, 5 years, 10 years even 50 years then so be. Recorded history is quite a recent thing and that book isn't even recorded history. Just promise me one thing,
Pray for an end to all wars Pray for an end to all poverty Pray for an end to all diseases Pray for the ability to inhabit other planets before our planet gets overcrowded Pray for the ability to be immortal Science could make all this happen eventually and potentially but if it all ends in the next few days then your Prayers will have been answered and you are right and I am wrong but until your Prayers have resolved any one of these issues, I will remain "ignorant" to the presence of God whom is obviously here its just that I haven't been granted the sight to see him. This is your cue to find some evidence he exists, perhaps something other than that age old book or just keep praying and hope you prove me wrong. I will tell you what, I will pray, TO GOD, for you religious people to prove me wrong, this is in your favour now massively. Can't wait for the wars to stop and poverty to cease and diseases to be wiped out and to be immortal. Can't wait to thank God in a few days when he does all this and can't wait to feel guilty for ever doubting him. |

I have always found this an unusual topic, simply because, Why is it that ALL Ghosts are in Human Form, never seen a ghost cat, mouse, bird, giraffe, elephant, gazelle, flea..... I could go on.
The other thing to note is that ghost stories have only appeared with the last few hundred years and then the trail goes cold. Lastly I can honestly say myself that I have seen "ghosts". I was sat on the sofa one day and my friend had gone home but then I noticed out of the corner of my eye my friend run from the back of the house to the kitchen, with our house you could walk around in a circle so I ran around the other way into the kitchen and my friend was not there. I questioned everyone else in the house and nobody saw him because he went home a few hours ago. For whatever reason I imagined it and have no idea why. Another occasion was when I caught a bus. I had waited for my bus and all of a sudden the number 38 bus came round. I got on the bus and it started to go on a different route. I asked the driver where we were going on it turned out I had got on the number 62 bus. Totally different number and said a totally different location but I got on the bus adamant that it was my number 38. Sometimes our eyes or mind can deceive us which is likely where ghost stories first came from but nothing more than stories. Science isn't a religion because we do not require a creator as our reason for being here and thus do not waste our time praying to empty rooms. Science is about being able to establish whether something works or whether it doesn't but whether it is possible to work and playing the "chef" by experimenting with ingredients or elements or DNA or other parts of science and mixing them to create a new recipe and provide guidelines for other people to understand why the recipe makes the cake and not something else. Science is simply understanding the fundamentals and since we have done most of that we are not trying to find more things to find. When you've learned to bake all the cakes known to man you move on to cookies, pastry's and so on until we can't possibly learn anymore science but this day will likely never arrive. |

God is revealed in human beings now he was revealed in Jesus now his spirit is within us So when I dissect a human body, where do I find this spirit and where is this bit of god that is within us. I failed anatomy and physiology terribly because I kept pointing to the heart and calling it my soul and my brain I thought was god and Spirit I thought was in the Stomach after drinking 50 glasses of Vodka the night before. So after getting over those hurdles, I never recall where soul, spirit and god are within the human anatomy. He was revealed in Jesus which was revealed in a book written in 400AD (yes that's right 400 years AFTER he was "born") that is pretty well revealed to be full of fascinating stories but that's all they are, children's stories. The proof of the creator is in the creation. The way the stars and planets move and the symbiotic relationship of everything down to the cell level is beyond any possibility of happening by accident. Just because someone throws a grenade in a hole, doesn't make the explosion (big bang) a precise molecule by molecule detailed occurrence that was designed exactly to happen the way it has happened. Now lets go back to the grenade and who threw it? After watching and learning much about the big bang, even I am still not convinced by their conclusion but yet have several of my own and if it were a chemical or chain reaction of events that were caused by mere elements not liking one another then we still have no creator and if it is in fact a "grenade" explosion on a stupendous scale then although everything was created, it doesn't really have something you can say is its creator either, some divine being who has an end plan for everyone and everything. Sadly Accidental is looking the most likely reason and the cause or creator is something and not someone. They "reckon" that if the big bang had been a hairline too weak that it would have all collapsed in on itself and a hairline too much would have destroyed the balls of rock we live on. However with a word like reckon, tells me they don't actually know but since praying won't get you the answer, don your scientist coat and specs and get to work. |

For the religious, the term "God" is a deity or supreme being who created the world and all of humankind. Also the "heavens and the earth" what ever that involves. (I am not sure how they imagine the entire universe of stars and planets and galaxies came into being or if the Bible mentions those.) For Athiests, (or "brights" as some call themselves) most conclude that "God" does not exist and any idea of spirit, soul, supernatural phenomena, does not warrant any consideration. If there is no evidence, it is not to be considered true. But what about the spiritual idea that we are all part of that intelligence? What about people who declare, as Jesus did, that "I and the father are one?" What about the I AM? I've decided to re-read your original post that started this thread which immediately led down to the inevitable path of god does exist, no he doesn't and so on. This quote is quite true depending on interpretation. So combine I AM with GOD and to accept yourself that you yourself are god will achieve the closest outcome to reality that one can get. I AM is reference to me and this idea of GOD is reference to someone in charge thus I AM IN CHARGE and by summarizing it like that you will realize that in your life you are in charge, of your thoughts, your actions, your beliefs. You are in charge of you, you are your own god and you should believe in yourself. With your thoughts, knowledge and beliefs you can decide on how to act. Man is capable of the most wonderful and beautiful things and is also capable of the most dreadful horrors, what you choose to do with you life is your choice but remember that other peoples lives and choices are bound to be caught up with your own. Everyone's lives can subtly or drastically affect the lives of those around you. To being that person walking by on the pavement (insignificant) or being the culprit of a 26 car pile up on a motorway (pretty significant), how you affect other people will determine how they choose their Thoughts, Actions and Beliefs about you and the world. I personally was Christened at a young age and attended schools who engaged in assembly where you soon learned the morning prayers. It wasn't until I myself around the age of 20 started to question what I had been taught before realizing how absurd some of it sounds. No one converted me into the dedicated Atheist of today other than me. I delved down the road of Noahs Ark. How could one build a ship to carry the weight of 2 of every animal on earth using only wood. How plausible is it, getting hold of 2 of every animal on earth. All Animal Zoos in the world haven't got 2 of every animal (combined) on display because its impossible and today we have helicopters, planes and boats to collect them and a zoo (on land) to store them all and we keep discovering more species of animal each year. There is over 35,000 species of Spider and your telling me that Noah got 2 of every one of them. Over a million different species in the world and he got 2 million animals on a boat. This was the starting point for me that made me pull everything else into question and it got pulled about piece by piece and the thing I hated most was all that time I spent learning about this crap and praying, I could have spent LEARNING about things that matter. Science can not figure that one out either even with so much technology at hand Pyramids are believed to have been built to allow people to become closer to god and although to my minuscule knowledge the Egyptians and Aztecs did this, the Christians did not because they could make strong assumptions based on many events that it did not help nor hinder their allies or enemies for being "closer", thus a waste of time building them. Back to my point on Noah's Ark however, The fact that scientifically a boat is big enough and light enough to carry 2 of every species of animal in the known world it just isn't plausible to expect someone with far less technology back then to actually carry out the impossible task that even today we would fail at. If we were to do it today just think of the huge amount of people that would be involved in sourcing and moving animals and building dimension specific boats (yes boats in case they get the first few wrong) and yet Noah did this all on his own with a limited time constraint, fairy tale comes to mind. The Bible has some fascinating story's but that is all they are. They should be in the fiction section of the Library and as far as stories go some of them are actually pretty good but for factitious accounts of the past they are highly over exaggerated. The most fantastic thing about science is that scientists will hold their hands up and say we got it wrong, whereas religious nuts will carry every last word wrote in that single book of evidence they cling on to as unchangeable and therefore fact or law. Science has spent for more time, effort and resources into proving and solving many mysteries and as soon as science comes and says we have discovered gravity and this is how it works, out of the blue god invented gravity. My simple opinion is this: If you believe we live in a solar system with planets known to most as Mars, Jupiter and Saturn then you should not believe in God If you believe in Gravity, then you should believe in Science If you believe in Medicine and Vaccines then you should not believe in God If you believe in DNA then you should believe in Science If you believe in technology (such as computers and stuff) then you shouldn't believe in God If you believe in God then you should be living on a flat earth where gravity doesn't exist(so everyone moves around by floating), where no medicine or cures actually do anything and are simply a waste of time (a bit like God) where you have no DNA which would mean you don't exist whilst playing with sticks and stones because computers don't exist. What if you find her really not enough attractive and still wishing to enjoy her company as a friend? If 9 in ten think one way there is probably a chance the % of the rest will be similar. I guess is matter of not yet multicultured environment. In this sense you north americans are lucky...too many slices of different cultures right at hand...in Europe is still quite rare especially in the south See another revelation for me personally is that I believe relationships and people getting married is on the decline but like a dramatic decline. It seems to me that women are pretty stuck up to entertain someone of intelligence and would rather have the fun of the lively lout than pick me. I think that goverments and or trends are just creating a decline whereas I can imagine things like rape etc on the rise because some people who are in a similar boat to me could snap and do something unlawful because what should be a natural near daily event (sex) is rationed and deprived. I am nearly 28 and basically starved of "it" having never done it however I am tough on the inside. I can see how it would break others. This is already clearly a two-thread question in one. A) There are the Players/Romancers/Lady Killers/etc people, who see every pair up as a challenge or a sports meet, just for fun in the moment; B) And there are the people who are intent on building a long term serious relationship with the other person, in which sex is an important component, but not the primary goal. Whenever its a group A person meeting up with a group B person, we end up with threads later where the disappointed one of the pair complains. My own answer, since I'm a group B person, is that I don't care whether someone spells things out or not. Frankly, I prefer that she does NOT start listing her rules and boundaries out like one of those little signs on the back of a cheap hotel room door. Because that sort of behavior, suggests that I'm a take-a-number guy from her point of view, and not a real person. I'm n group B which is my problem. I never find someone who wants to get to know me. It doesn't help that I am very shy in this department and very much a wuss but I have never known anyone long enough or well enough to feel confident to get into the same bedroom. With the passing of time this problem is getting incrementally worse. But to answer the question, I don't think sex is important until you know each other well enough to trust one another. |

Tried to denounce football for fear of it becoming more of an obsession than religion and look what happened, It is without a doubt one of the most popular sports in the world. People did not fear being put to death by the church for heresy for kicking a ball about and you will not be condemned to "hell" for waking up in the real world. Egyptians built pyramids to get closer to god and guess what, christians didn't waste their time because they knew it wouldn't count for $hit. I am still waiting for a grain of evidence from you. Is that common sense talking? Do we all breathe oxygen or is it pixie dust for humans? Of course God took a chimp and molded it to be slightly better. He got his carving knife out and altered the DNA. He added a touch a sugar to keep us sweet but added a touch of blood to keep us violent.
