That's a foolish statement... condoms don't protect you from HPV, and anyone who receives/gives oral is at risk for catching anything and everything. Condoms do protect against HPV, if used during oral they are complete in their protection. They have classes to teach how to use them even during oral. herpes and warts wont kill you, but hiv does, so we should be concentrating on telling them things they can catch which will take your life, and tell them certain std's cause infertitlity and lots of other things. my question is, what can we do?? condoms protect against everything apart from herpes and warts. so what do we do, when you meet someone who has herpes, how can we protect ourself then?? |

i mean dont scare them away telling them about the bad point, you need to concentrate on telling them to use a condom and your protecting yourself from this and that........ dont be on the negatives all the time, you tell the bad parts, and even more so tell them the good parts, you dont want to be so negative there to scared to have sex. so i would concentrate on the posotive points,like using a condom, at least then they wont be **** scared. |

And as an after thought to this whole argument on infected teens and condom usage as the best protection. I remember the docs saying that they are not 100% sure that HPV is completely sexually transmitted. So if HPV may not even be sexually transmitted then condom usage may not be effective because of this fact anyway  . It is a scary world and all we have is the tools we are given. We have to use them, and use our common sense as well. I like to use my tool. |

I was simply stating it's foolish to say you don't have to worry about your health if you use protection. You should always be concerned with your health. but im saying, we can only protect ourself as much as we possibly can. but i would be more concerned for my health if i didnt use protection. basically there is no more we can do than using condoms, unless a miracle occurs and we cant catch ANYTHING. even though a condom doesnt stop you from getting herpes or warts, still use them. for some people they may never get it, and others do. the safest you can be is using a condom, theres nothing anyone can do to be 100 percent sure.
