I cant speak about the lower back,but i have one on my chest,that didnt hurt. Listening to the gun for that long was the only thing that bothered me.

Did it hurt? honestly none of my ink hurt, maybe I was lucky to hand a tattooer w/light hands - so none of mine hurt it is a bit uncomfortable depending on how much time is spent at that same spot.

Depending on were it's gonna go .Lower backs on women is painfull for 24-36 hrs.

I also had my nose pierced last year...very tiny little stud.

I don't think that the tattoos hurt bad at all..but they are addictive!!! And you're NEVER too old for anything you want to do!!!

I have an ankle bracelet tat with my kids names on it...I love it...and didnt hurt too bad..

my sister is almost 30,I got her a tat for xmas(a butterfly)
she got it on her back/base of her neck same place ur talkin about
she cried that it hurt so bad while the guy was workin on her,then when it was done she said it wasnt that bad.lol

...The base of the neck is a bit uncomfortable
but not unbarable at all.

I started getting tattoos when I was 16,
and like franshade, where they were hidden..
but I found that when getting a tattoo,
it was more of an annoying feeling, that
wouldn't go away, more than an actual pain.

My first time getting one, I was actually so
scared, and I was really nervous, and I was
getting just below my neckline tattooed,
and I was getting a fairly large piece,
especially for my first time, but I got in the
chair, sat there completely scared sh!tlessly.
and Bry said he was going to start, I took a deep
breath, and the next word out of my mouth was..
"..oh."

The pain of getting a tattoo is much more inflated
in your head. It honestly does not hurt,
and in the end, you get a piece of beatutiful artwork
that means something close to your heart.
