OOOOk this is really embarrassing so don't make fun of me.
So, we all know, sex before marriage is sin, but, what about masterbation? I can't find anything in the Bible that says you can't touch yourself. Is masterbation a sin? If it's not, then what about thinking about someone else while you do it? Is that a sin? I'm serious, so no joking. |

OKAY.
so, im pretty sure "touching yourself" is NOT against the rules... but if you feel bad about it, go to confession. the priest/pastor whatever he is wont tell anyone, and BAM, no more sin |

Two hands that reach all the right spots God does not make mistakes That's what I thought, but then I thought, is it that way to tempt us? And aren't we supposed to resist temptation? I'm so confused about this, that I actually feel bad when I do, masterbate. |

I'm supposed to know something is a sin, and not do it, I think. I'm way too embarrassed to ask people at my church. |

I am not sure if masturbation is a sin, but the Bible does speak against thinking of anybody in any lustful manner. Hope that helps. I will have to look this one up.

Thinking about someone while doing it is an impure thought which is a sin...in the bible.... Thats what 8 years of private school has taught me haha

Techinically its not in the bible, but most bible thumping hardcore religous people (no offense to anyone)
say its a sin because it ends up leading to lust so on and so forth. But religion is only what you make of it. Put yourself before anyone else, and don't feel bad for doing it. Anyone who tells you they don't is either a nun or a liar. |

Or a lying nun I just don't understand why we have so many pleasure parts on are body, but we can't touch it. |

Do what you want. Sex is a need like food. Scientifically proven.

Actually in the bible it talks of a man "spilling his seed" and he was put to death. And Jesus says if we look upon another as to have sex we have committed adultery in our minds. God is pure and we are suppose to try and be like Jesus.

the Bible, I believe, refers to Onan and onanism and that is where some Christians come up with the whole masturbation/sin thing. It's up to you. What do you think? Personally, I think both God and you have way more important and serious issues, questions, problems, solutions, etc. to deal with than worrying about this. Decide for you if it is OK or not--then choose what you do and leave the fretting out of it. And, being protestant doesn't mean you can't talk to a minister, pastor, etc. If you are too embarassed, that's one thing, but maybe someone is available to you in the church (if you attend a church) or a friend's mom, aunt, sister?...Anyway, you have all your life ahead of you...this is NOT and DOES NOT need to be the BIG DEAL for you that you think it is to others when it is actually NOT their business and is only between God, you, and perhaps the man that may or may not be in your life right now...

wow u people are all blinded seriously church?? I actually do not attend church because the churches in my area do not provide transportation for the handicapped but I do read the Bible and I discuss what I think it means with my friends who do go to church. |
