Wrong. The only reason Lisa gets away with it is because she openly DATES black guys. Somehow, this makes it okay to the black community. Everything I said was true. Lets see... Didn't some guy get just fired for saying a joke about black people over the radio? Yeah... it was HUGE news. It was blown completely out of proportion. This man joked about everyone, not just the black girls this one time. You obviously do not see it. Go on youtube and you will find a video clip of a black professor at NC State University. He openly stated, in front of reporters, that the "whole white race should be exterminated." WORD FOR WORD. Now... you tell me... if a white professor has said this about the black community, all hell would break loose. Open your eyes. Oh and as to what I said about the pledge... There is NO reason someone can not say the pledge but just leave out "Under God." Period. There is NO excuse for him to not sing the National Anthem. His name is Don Imus. If you have a national radio show and you say something that offensive yes you get fired. I don't know about the professor you are talking about and what context his statement was made from. Sounds like this persons statement wasn't heard across the country and yes I'd have to see that before making a decision. Did you see Jacksons campaign a few years ago go down the tube when he made fun of the Jews by use of a derogatory term? I have a full list of "Black Citizens" who have blown it with the American public for racial slurs and derogatory terms. If he takes office he'll have to take the oath. That's what I find important. Thank you for the debate. Sorry if anything I said seeme inappropriate to you. Sometimes I come off very opinionated and strong. J Here we go again, if you say that you should be fired for offinsive coments on a national radio show the they should have fired Howard stern long ago. But hay whats that little thing in the constitution ooo ummm free speech. He want targeting anyone in paticular and what he said was not as big of a deal as they made it out to be. While i agree with alot of your views this thread is about Obama not a white vs black vs female vs any othe race please stay on topic thank you |

Anyone who does not stand for the Pledge or the National Anthem does not deserve to be in this country. Countless lives have been lost preserving the freedoms that we have today, and if you can not show a little bit of respect for them, you do not deserve to be here I agree with this because I have 10 relatives in Iraq, 20 that have died from other wars and my father is a veteran. i look toward his other qualities. i mean come on do you really want another Clinton as president. Since Bill did what he did wiht Monica is it possible Hillary could do the same perhaps to get revenge? and possibly impeached and removed from office and then what are we presidentless for a time being where it be important we have one? I want you to reread what you just wrote, I personally have no problem with clinton getting a BJ on the side he is not by far the first president to do so...does ronald reagan ring a bell? thought not do your homework before you decide to listen to what the news is telling you. Look up the ISSUES that is my point. Clinton did some good for this country too...he was the only president to balance the national debt...bet you didn't know that either. Honestly you are 18 just got the right to vote this year and i seriously doubt you were following politics when you were in junior high. So i enocourage you to educate yourself. |

Why do people care who is president?? It doesn't matter. If you live your life depending on who is running the gov't you are pathetic...

That whole topic got started when that guy mentioned racism. He challenged what I said and I had to explain myself. You support someone who does not honor our flag and the people who fought for this country? What a shame. How about the reverse-discrimination in today's society? Do you see any all white college foundations? Do you see any white entertainment televion shows? Do you see any black comedians getting fired for making racial jokes against whites? No, you don't. THAT is reverse-discrimination and our society is so used to it that most people don't even notice it Wow! And you stand for America? What a shame! There is no issue with a persons name. This country was built on immigrants of various names. For which he's an American by the way. He has a distinguished career and has helped so many people in the U.S. to fight discrimination. What have you done for people?
So.. where is race mentioned outside of your post? |

So.. where is race mentioned outside of your post? Again let's not go back to the race issue. Focus on the person. This will only entice him to bring the topic back some things are just left better unsaid |

Edwards is lying through his teeth. He only cares about poor people for one reason, to exploit them. He exploited the poor to get him rich and will continue to do so. By creating a new victim to take the place of an old one he will get the support of the sensationalists and the class he targets. It is a great tactic.

This will only entice him to bring the topic back some things are just left better unsaid __________________________________________________________ I think the point here is that Kurt is is not being honest. What really is irking me is that this post is based on things about Obama that have nothing to do with his political stance. Where he went to school, what he did in college... it's as though you are trying to point out negatives and lose, altogether, the big picture. And don't get me started on this preoccupation with minutia about the Pledge. Politics should not be a dirty game. Can any of us, Kurt included, say we would withstand the scrutiny of the power of the American press and have them find no deed or action for which we would be ashamed or merely not judged? |

Again let's not go back to the race issue. Focus on the person. This will only entice him to bring the topic back some things are just left better unsaid If you had been able to read, you would see that me, and a few others, were quoting a person that is no longer in this conversation. He must have deleted his posts, but if you look at all of my posts and what I quoted, you would see that I was going back and forth with a guy that FIRST mentioned racism. Maybe you should read more carefully before you say that I randomly threw race in there. Oh, and if you think I was "so far off topic" maybe you should go to the link I posted. These are people who are trying to rally to exterminate the white race... surely not something I was taught. |

Sorry.. you cannot delete a post.. just edit the content. At which time, a small notice is left at the bottom of the post saying when the edit had occurred. There are none of those in this thread. You'd be hard pressed to recall a post that never happened. Nice try though! Try again. I'm no idiot... but don't worry, I don't take it personally that you take me for one.
Race is your issue.. So is the pledge and anthem... not the issues in this thread. |

I don't care about political parties , I think democrats and Republicans are all backed by the same bunch behind the scenes. I consider each person and what he thinks. So I would like Ron Paul, next choice , Kuccinich, and next Obama yo momma(smiles). I figure Obama will be the next President and hope Colin Powell could be Vice President. I am not racist either. If Hillary got in there , I would be afraid to live in this country anymore. I would consider leaving , maybe to North Dakota, or South Dakota or Nebraska, Or Wyoming or Montana , the parts of these five states which belong to the Lakota Sioux tribes. They have just declared themselves separate from the United States and said they would take anyone living there as citizens if they renounce their US citizenship. So lets hope Hillary never gets in there.

What qualifies Obama to be president? He's a good guy, so what. What are his tangible qualifications? Senators do not get elected president. Give me a Governor or a Mayor over a Senator any day. Someone with real experience with governing. Is that the best the Dems can do? When we elect incompetent officials it is WE THE PEOPLE that bare the blame when things go wrong. Be responsible with your vote. A black, a woman, a morman.... those are not qualifications but those are the reasons some people vote the way they do.

Senators do not get elected president. Give me a Governor or a Mayor over a Senator any day. Hmmm.. I guess the history books are wrong then. James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson, Martin Van Buren, William Henry Harrison, John Tyler, Franklin Pierce, James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, Benjamin Harrison, Warren G. Harding, Harry S. Truman, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard M. Nixon. Just to be the devil's advocate here... So.. the Republican Front Runner is a former Governor.. That's good.. Who failed to report campaign funds: Not so good. Who is an ordained Southern Baptist Pastor.. and who's site.. and slogan has the first word you see is "Faith". Which comes before family and freedom. How exactly is that a political attribute? |

That is a slap in the face to all the men and women who died to give us the freedoms we have today. Obama is a poor excuse for an American if he will not willingly do these things. Period. |

I'm pulling for Huckabee...
I'm a person who doesn't judge the candidates based on their political party. I go by the best person for the job, and I believe that Mike Huckabee would make a great president. I lived in Arkansas for the whole 10 years that he was governor, and he did alot of good things for that state. I said the whole time that he should run for president, b/c he's a good man who would do good for our country. |
