The point I am making is that White comedians still make fun of other cultures and so do other cultures.

He acts as though Black Comedians are getting away with murder for pointing out a White cultures social extremes.

Jeff Foxworthy makes fun of Rednecks.
Eddie Murphy made fun of whites in his movie.
Chris Rock made fun of black people in his movie.

Has nothing to do with reverse discrimination is the point.

Lisa remains very popular to those that want foul mouthed humor.
Lenny Bruce60's? Red Skeleton 70's? Sam Kineson 80's.... Andrew Dice 90's, I can go on if anyone wishes... They all pushed social and cultural boundries. I don't even like their comedy but they made money cause people listened.

If you want to talk about people who pushed the comedy envolope I have two words for you, Benny Hill. He had half naked women on his show when it wasnt exceptable for a miniskirt in public. Your examples are useless becouse foxworthy is a redneck making fun of rednecks and the others are blacks making fun of whites and blacks. What was being argued is that it is still considered more offinsive for a white person to make a joke about black people than a black person to make fun of white people.

Wrong. The only reason Lisa gets away with it is because she openly DATES black guys. Somehow, this makes it okay to the black community. Everything I said was true. Lets see... Didn't some guy get just fired for saying a joke about black people over the radio? Yeah... it was HUGE news. It was blown completely out of proportion. This man joked about everyone, not just the black girls this one time. You obviously do not see it. Go on youtube and you will find a video clip of a black professor at NC State University. He openly stated, in front of reporters, that the "whole white race should be exterminated." WORD FOR WORD. Now... you tell me... if a white professor has said this about the black community, all hell would break loose. Open your eyes.
Oh and as to what I said about the pledge... There is NO reason someone can not say the pledge but just leave out "Under God." Period. There is NO excuse for him to not sing the National Anthem.

His name is Don Imus. If you have a national radio show and you say something that offensive yes you get fired. I don't know about the professor you are talking about and what context his statement was made from.

Sounds like this persons statement wasn't heard across the country and yes I'd have to see that before making a decision. Did you see Jacksons campaign a few years ago go down the tube when he made fun of the Jews by use of a derogatory term?

I have a full list of "Black Citizens" who have blown it with the American public for racial slurs and derogatory terms.

If he takes office he'll have to take the oath. That's what I find important.

Thank you for the debate. Sorry if anything I said seeme inappropriate to you. Sometimes I come off very opinionated and strong.

I understand where you are coming from, but reverse-discrimination still exists rather you acknowledge it or not. Another example is the Duke Lacross incident. EVERYONE left the lacross players out to dry when they found out it was a black stripper that made the accusations. It turns out that they were innocent, and rightfully so, but that is an example of the white community not wanting to "offend" the black community.

good nite and i agree, i think white people are so ashamed of the past that they do not realize that black people are willing to forgive and move on to, i mean slavery isn't an issue here anymore, racism yes.

Oh... and here is the link to the black professor making the comments http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49h1x-i830Q It WAS widely publicized, but isn't it funny how only FOX news put it in the news? Listen to this very carefully

Here we go again, if you say that you should be fired for offinsive coments on a national radio show the they should have fired Howard stern long ago. But hay whats that little thing in the constitution ooo ummm free speech. He want targeting anyone in paticular and what he said was not as big of a deal as they made it out to be.

I don't get it. You made it sound like he got away with saying that statement. He didn't. He is now a former professor. He was let go in 2005. Old stuff.

So he didn't get away with it like Imus didn't get away with his offensive statement. Yeah! Howard does shock people but his comments have been noted as dark humor. Not specifically offensive to a whole race.

I don't even like Imus or his opinions but I will say I think he is a semi-nice and extremely generous person. Howard has been entertaining and that's all I know about him.

I'm out too. Thanks for the debate.

He did get away. It was never stated that the reason he no longer is a professor is because of his statement. Did you hear the people clap after he said what he did? This was not highly publicized BECAUSE it was reverse-discrimination. If he had been white, saying those things about the black community, ALL hell would have broken loose

well iknow that but i couldnt think of the right word at 2 am at the moment. isnt it more logical to pick between who is ahead. i mean i'd choose edwards to if he had a chance. it's the whole woman or black thing. im all for equal rights and women having the chance plus courage to be a president but if this woman became president i think our country would fall apart.

There is no doubt it would. She is basically a socialist. Well... If Obama won president it would be "Different" in many respects, being that he is half black and Muslim. I personally think we just need a Republican president, but people now adays are too ignorant to see what this country truly needs. They would rather live off the government, than work with the government.

i agree but you almost have to chose between the two who are most likely to win, it's like one of those questions would you rather eat a booger or smell a fart kind of thing

Hahaha exactly! I wouldn't count out the Republicans though, if it ends up being "Christianity" vs. "Muslim" I think this Presidential election will be in the air. Most devout Christians are Republican, I know this since I'm in the bible belt :)

I hate stereotypes. I'm a christian and a liberal. A real christian. I have faith in jesus and i believe in being a good person. I believe in human rights & everyone being treated the same. And in case you didn't notice Mr.Bush claims to be a good christian, does that make him a good president? You can judge that for yourself. Whats next, are they going to make it a requirement for the president to be a christian?

Wasn't one of the ideals that this country was built on religious freedom? Everyone has their right to choose as long as they aren't hurting anyone.

Okay. Obama won big in Iowa. But Hillary isn't going to sit back and let him walk away with the nomination. Remember now that Obama is center stage with his victory, the limelight is going to become the spotlight. Obama will become subjected to Hillary's dirty tricks. If he has any skeletons in his closet, she will find them. The question is can Obama weather the storm?

If Hillary doesn't bring Obama down, I think the Democrats may turn on Obama. There are doubts about Obama being a sure win in November, because of his lack of experience. Those uncertainties about Obama have not surfaced, because everyone thought Hillary was the shoe-in. But now that he is at the forefront there is going to be a lot of scrutiny about his candidacy and whether he can win for the Democrats.

I just don't understand how people can vote for someone who does not say or stand to the Pledge and the National Anthem. It makes me sick how people can vote for someone who slaps all of the people who fought for out freedoms, in the face.
