Finally getting some much needed rain and cooler temps. Never been so happy to have a rainy weekend I love cloudy/rainy days.

It’s quite windy here as well. Happy you're getting warmer weather! And the wind... it doesn't seem to go this year. We have had days with little wind, although not many. And if memory serves, there was even wind on that stinking hot day of over 40C but the wind too was so warm/hot that it didn't help at all. In any case, I am enjoying summer. Mostly been wearing shorts & shirt, sliding door open etc. And since I lost so much weight it is extra wonderful cos I can now wear all my favourite summer outfits again :) So double joy for me, haha.

29C so far still cloudy but the sun is coming through already. The clouds are supposed to disappear and then it sun sun sun and hot. So far I'm enjoying the coolness before heat hits.

26C Sun, blue sky, some thin clouds. Seems much of mainland Europe is having hot weather. My girl is in south Luxembourg, 36C today. Even in the woods when hiking it was 33C yesterday! My niece is in southern France, 39C yesterday! It seems much of Europe is getting drier and good drinkwater is going to become a problem. Not for just now. For now they're going to implement restrictions for farmers to water the fields, and they are going to have to spray the dykes etc. to prevent sand erosion and thus weakening of dykes.

They never make that mandatory here, it's requested of people when it's hot. Which I think is daft as many simply fill their (inflatable) pools, especially when hot, water their beloved garden when hot, and elaborately wash their precious cars. It would be difficult to check, and it would be an infringement to do so, but still. It's ridiculous people are so careless and indifferent, and fresh water is going to be an issue. A permanent one. Our main source is the Rhine which used to be fed by snow meltwater from elsewhere in Europe. But that has all gone so the Rhine is now only fed by rain. With there being less and less rain... It's going to be a worldwide problem. Except in Scotland hahahaha. At some point we'll all be drinking Scottish rainwater? Lol.

21C and a cloudy start of the day. Now the sun has come out, as forecast, and it immediately feels warmer now. We're headed to another warm-hot period, second half of August should go down a bit, higher chance of rain too, so I guess we should enjoy summer while it lasts!
