All windows open, upstairs and downstairs, and both sliding doors, and running the fan but even that gets hot.

I don´t get how it is as warm here as in the province Limburg, which is the ´leg´ of the Netherlands, in between Belgium & Germany. That is always the hottest of the country.
Here it used to always be a few degrees cooler during summer as we're on the coast, a stone's throw from the North Sea.
Nowadays it's always as hot as Limburg though, really weird.

Better late than never hehe.

Yesterday it reached 28°C. The temperature goes down at night but makes no difference to the indoor temperature. Last night it went down to 13°C outside but indoors it stayed 25°C despite having windows opened. Not great for sleeping in. Our houses are built to retain heat and are well insulated so that doesn’t help in these high temperatures.

Same here at night. Nice and cool outdoors at night, but indoors still stinking hot. My house doesn't have roof insulation so the heat that's absorbed by the roof tiles makes it very hot in the bedroom. (slanted roof goes through most of my bedroom).
Last night was downright awful, couldn't sleep, just too hot and sweaty.

As you say, our houses are built to retain heat. Indoors get 27C during the day.

This should be the last day that's this hot. But coming days will be more humid and will still be 28C so not sure we will get much relief.

Yep, far too muggy to sleep comfortably. We have thunderstorms forecast for late afternoon but it’s kinda a hit and miss thing so may not even see any.

CLOUDS!!! BLISS! Haha. Wind has picked up, which was forecast. Until just now there wasn't the slightest bit of a breeze even. Nada. Sweltering hot.

I do love a sunny summer but as it is it's just too much of a good thing.
Can't do Jack, not even go for a walk or something, cats don't know what to do with themselves as they too are way too hot.

We should get some rain too, but I don't think that was forecast for today.
Thunder and rain, but I believe tomorrow.

Hope tonight I will be able to sleep better. Could happen if the sun doesn't come back any time soon, hihi.

Hah, they lied……it is 28°C now and not a breath of wind so keeping the windows open is just making the house hotter 🥵

I have closed my blinds at the front of the house as that is where the sun is now and will stay until dark. That’s where my bedroom is too so I doubt I’ll be able to sleep comfortably tonight.

It doesn’t look as if it’ll rain anytime soon but I hope it does for a little relief from the humidity.

And me, I would've gladly taken the 28C outdoors temp: it's almost that indoors: 27,5C.
Like yours, my bedroom too is at the side where the sun stays longest and goes under :/ I chose that side at the time as it's away from the street so less noise from cars in the morning.
If I'd have a spare bed I'd sleep in the front room, but yeah... don't have one.
Could get one, thought of it before, but then I'm stuck with a bed in there all the time which I don't want.

Oh well... But damned happy with the wind, and sun as good as gone at the mo!
