Some day I need to make it out that way.. maybe you can be my personal guide... So long as you do the driving, lol. I'll just sit back and enjoy the ride while telling you which way to turn. I reckon I can do that... although I may ignore the driving direction.. I'm sure you will! Hopefully you wont start saying,"recalculating", and "in 100 ft, make a U turn" and stuff like that.. |

Not the only place that has mountains, rivers, wildlife, ranches, lakes, and you can stay there. Too many people coming here. Hi cat Guess all those who were cooped up last year have flown the coop and ending up over here. The numbers show that this is one of the busiest years they've ever experienced. Even Yellowstone was turning people away from just driving through due to the volume of visitors. It's insane, but it's those people that are helping some of the places out here thrive. No people, no capital/money. It's those people that you want to tell to just go away that are helping fund the park services so they can protect wildlife and control wildfires. Businesses, including mom and pop businesses, are able to flourish and remain open. I've been to places in the East where towns have literally shut down due to lack of people bringing in capital/money. The appeal of the West, at least for me, is the unadulterated land. Unfortunately the more people who come here, the more the land becomes adulterated. Without the park services helping to protect the land, it would become destroyed in no time at all. So while it's a hindrance and an annoyance to have so many people here, it's also a blessing in that it keeps those who are working hard to preserve the land, as well as the surrounding communities, employed. |

Oh, how I know that feeling! We had that busiest year last year. Not sure about this year as it's only just started. But since this is tourist area, we get thousands of Germans every year. Like you say, we need them for the economy, jobs, to have shops and keep them open etc. etc. But apart from that no one wants them. They're horribly rude and arrogant. In that sense it's unfortunate we need the money to keep this area going, but there isn't anything else here as it's too remote. During season it's insane. You can't get into town for months on end as all parking spaces are full up. You get run over by shopping trolleys in the supermarket when during German season, lol. They never move over, not on the roads either and they all drive monster cars. Oh well, if I ever get to move away from here I don't ever want to live in a tourist area again. |

I'm glad you got to see them too, Dee
I'm not sure if they were deleted or just disappeared. They are visible to the public on my FB page, so I figured they'd be visible here too. You have to be able to see them online in order for them to be posted. When I use one from my profile, it disappears after I delete it from my profile. I emailed Delightful, maybe she knows? I went to a wild horse sanctuary yesterday. The wild mustangs were beautiful I went on the tour, road in a jeep out to the pasture where they were. They wouldn't let me out of the jeep though to play with the horses The sanctuary is really nice, it's a place for the wild horses to roam safely and live out the rest of their days. It's nice there are places like that. Oh, and today I went to the hot springs about an hour and a half from here. They have five hot spring pools, all different temperatures. They are like regular little pools, but only have natural mineral spring water in them. The water spring is all around and fills up at one end and flows out the other end. There's one with a waterfall that's 106F... I let the water pound down on my shoulders and upper back. What a wonderful water massage It was beautiful and so relaxing. Mountains all around me and very peaceful. First thing in the morning when it's still cool outside is good, but then it gets too warm. I'm thinking September and October will be perfect for going every week or every other week. |

Not sure how long these pictures will stay up, but these are some of the wild mustangs from yesterday's trip to the wild horse sanctuary.

I would love to have a place like that to go sit in for my aches and pains in my neck, and everywhere else, too! I’m celebrating my birthday 🥳 this weekend! Thank you for the good wishes and I hope you have an amazing weekend as well |

You're welcome, and thank you
Yes, the hot springs were amazing. You'd love them and I'm sure they'd help with your aches and pains. I was almost too relaxed to drive home I had to stop and get an espresso. Have a wonderful weekend Do you have anything special planned? |

We’re going out to dinner someplace nice, and then have some wine and enjoy sitting on the porch...unless we get some storms later! It’s been really hot 🥵 so we just might get a storm ⛈ or 2. Hopefully it will hold off until later tonight Hope you have some fun plans as well! |

My weekend is Thursday and Friday, I work Saturday and Sunday. I don't usually do much on the days I work. Lately it's been really hot by time I get home, so I just try to stay cool. There's no air conditioning at work or in my room. Have fun! |

I use FB as a hosting sight to post my pictures here since we can only have 18 in our profile. If I used my profile pics, they'd disappear as soon as I removed them to add more. It could be something to do with FB, I'm not sure. |

Apparently the view image link changed for the pictures on my FB page, that's why they disappeared. It will be interesting to see if it happens again. Maybe they do it for security reasons? I may need to find a different host for my photos, like the one Crystal told me about.
Anyways, I'll re-post the photos later today. It's time to get ready for work. Have a wonderful day everyone |
