Well it’s been two days into the Biden presidency , so it’s about time to list his accomplishments that will eventually become his legacy. Here’s one that will surly be very popular among athlete’s . Biological men can now join women’s sports teams..No more sports illustrated swim suit issues for me. Here’s another, ICE was instructed to release all detained illegals in their custody. Just open the doors and let them out. Another Biden accomplishment is immediately stop construction on the wall, putting many people out of work. Biden says to listen to the experts and take their advice . Well the experts at the border say a wall is the best deterrent by far. But Biden knows better I guess.. this is just a few of Biden’s accomplishments, feel free to ad to the list. There will be many many more in the time he has left.

47 years of nothing?

Wait!

In the late 70s,
he did help push legislation
to free all the nutjobs,
and other mental deficients
from the loony bins.

Increasing rolls in the democratic party,
and America's burgeoning homeless problem.

Oh!
And, gosh darnit!
Those inner city kids really are as smart as
white kids.

This is good news!

In one of many executive orders issued on his first day in office, President Joe Biden revoked the permit for the Keystone Pipeline extension, drawing criticism from Texas Republicans.

It so easy to criticize , but harder to contribute. what does anyone on this thread actually contribute to society?

As I’ve said: turnabout is fair play. For four years conservatives had to hear an endless litany of very hateful criticisms and childish insults about Donald Trump. Do you expect them not to dish it back? Besides, political criticism is an important aspect of a free society... such as it remains for a few more weeks or so.

Maybe a sign of the times that a new system is called for?
Like Obama was fighting for years to get certain things done that were SO needed for the country and its people.
Then Trump comes along and the first thing he does is tear all that down?
Isn't that a ridiculous system?
It's nothing different from the Medieval times where rulers decided what was on and the people had to suffer the consequences. Granted, now people can vote and they couldn't back then, but that seems about the only difference. How it pans out is the same.

And that's not an attack on the US, it's pretty much the same everywhere I think. Although I'm not entirely certain if in other countries it is possible that the next leader completely tears down what his predecessor did.
But running a country that way is totally insane. It means for 4 years people may have to put up with XYZ, or they are allowed to do XYZ, then 4 yrs later some other ruler can decide to change it all around. Madness.

I'm just thinking how difficult that can be in a practical way too. Think of starting a business and having certain advantages and counting on that. Then 4 yrs later some other dude comes into power and BWAMH! Gone advantages, while you are still building your business and get in deep chit because of the change.

Elections have consequences. I will argue that the changes Trump made when he was elected is what the country need to become great again. The lowest unemployment rate. Record breaking growth in the stock market. A more peaceful Middle East. More fair and equal Trade practices with other country’s.what you call tearing down is what half the country saw as a good response to the crippling economic policies brought on by Obama. All Americans should want to put America first. Remember what shumer said win Georgia and change America . Why Change something when it’s working so well. Despite COVID 19 , no one can blame trump for the problem China put upon the whole world. But up to that point America was running on all cylinders. Now Biden is going to scrap the very policies that were proven to work for the U.S.

"Biden’s accomplishments"...Hmmmmm.....if we are gonna with that...we really must add a new word to the dictionary ....like ..... perhaps ...SuperOxymoron ...yeah ....that works.

Now to really understand;
The Mayhem at hand:
One must grasp a historical perspective;
We have this Constitution that IS amazingly effective;

We have this Civil War that physically ripped our Republic;
Yet our Constitution remained effective;
About that same time (1858) The "Communist Manifesto" was penned by Karl Marx;
While mindlessly thinking that there must be a better system;
The minds of, especially Northern, "Elitist Pseudo Intellectuals" were RIFE;
For the Utopic Marxist philosophies of Communism & Socialism Off went sparks;
But the manifestations of integrating these philosophies have yielded Nothing but Strife;
As Marx's, sometimes unwitting, followers infiltrating & overtaking Academia, Media and Bureaucracy went exquisitely WELL;
To the tune of 90% each thereof;

Our once Idyllic Republic has gone to HELL!

Well, that's the problem. I guess they all do something good, even the ones who ruin a lot. I agree it may have been good that Trump wanted to invest in American industry etc, but at the same time he was doing things that were utterly bad.

Seems you can't ever get it right, although that is also up for debate since the nrs of pro and con Trump were pretty damned close.

We are having a similar issue over here in The Netherlands with upcoming elections. I don't think the gap among people has ever been larger. And it's not friendly either. People have a real short temper at the moment.
I think it's about 50-50 with people pro and anti the current PM. If he gets elected again -which I do not hope- some 50% op the people is going to be happy, the other is not.
He's running the country into the ground, but apparently some 50% don't agree. The current Covid situation has a lot to do with it and put everyone on edge.

All this is exactly what I meant: maybe the system itself needs replacement with something better.

Has anyone ever noticed half the people commenting don't even live in the United States? That's not a bad thing, things often look different on the outside looking in. People who live with the same everyday get used to it and forget to look at what is happening. Biden stopping the pipeline, restricting oil drilling, and wanting to greatly increase gas tax will drive gas prices well over $4.00 a gallon. Last time gas was at $4.00 a gallon the economy crashed really hard. Its not the people putting gas into their cars that causes this but the cost of EVERYTHING goes up and with the trillions being spent on stimulus packages is already making the dollar near worthless.
Trumps plan to create jobs was by putting tariffs on Chinese products and lowering corporate tax to level the playing field so PRIVATE corporations could create manufacturing jobs. Biden's plan is to dump GOVERNMENT money into creating jobs in things like clean energy. Welcome to socialism, however that gets you no where in the world economy.

Well, it hasn't been even a week and the Canadian dollar has hit a high that hasn't been seen in 3 years. I don't imagine the reason is due to all the Coronavirus lockdowns Canadians have endured. It should soon enough be at par with the American dollar, just like it was under Obama.

basically if you are an atheist and believe in anything goes you should be happy. however if you are a christian with biblical values you might have to throw up occasionally under democratic rules these days...the divide is increasing...
