What do you wish you spent more time doing five years ago?

I wish I spent more time simplifying my life instead of just accumulating “stuff”. Now, I will be spending the next five years getting rid of the crap that I thought would enhance it, but has only complicated it.

5 years ago? I should have thrown out my ex. I would be divorced now. But I waited another year

I don't really live in regret.
5 Years ago, my life was pretty much the same as it is now. I live in the philosophy of "making mistakes are what caused me to learn wisdom today". I use that gained wisdom to prevent mistakes in my future. I'll make more mistakes but hopefully I will learn what I need so I don't repeat them. |

Saving money instead of traveling so much!

I wish I spent more time simplifying my life instead of just accumulating “stuff”. Now, I will be spending the next five years getting rid of the crap that I thought would enhance it, but has only complicated it. I started living a minimalistic life out of necessity. Every two years I move to a different country, and I have to pack up my life into 2 suitcases and a carryon (or sometimes pay for a third suitcase). I've had to leave so many things behind. Now I don't even bother buying things unless they're consumable or super tiny (like jewelry). |

What do you wish you spent more time doing five years ago? Holiday travel to far away places, because now most of the world is closed and we have to stay mostly in Europe.
