I caught this album by surprise at target, I've been a ziggy fan since I first heard "Tumblin' Down". Went ahead & bought it of course & as always the positivity and wisdom of Ziggy made me smile. Love indeed, love for all, even those who would wish us harm. Whole album I'd give 15 out of 10;^]

Rather simple problem with one of these words in the above equation. Interesting how all the simple problems get really complex or is that the true illusion?

there is nothing wrong with love except mankinds ability to screw it up ...

it's an excuse because people believe love is cupid shooting an arrow in their butt, they believe love is this uncontrolable emotion that somehow controls them...but love is not an emotion it's a committment

Mine is... of course I'm catholic so it's love and guilt... but mostly love. 'Love thy neighbor as thyself'.

By neighbor... I mean fellow man.

I wish I could explain love... but... it's unlike anything else and can't be broken down to describe in bits... and analogy is pretty much screw'd. Love is like a broken fire hydrant??? Um... no.

Oh and it's really not easy... seriously... you'd think it would be.

Is it really what we do with it or what we expect of it that causes the problems? I've seen love blamed for a lot of stuff that had nothing to do with love, but a lot to do with greed and power over others. Have you ever tried loving another unconditionally? It's an interesting experiment. I found conditions were rampant. The other thing I found interesting is both sides are more than willing to receive unconditional love; it was the giving that threw in the monkey wrench. Granted though, in all fairness, I did not try this experiment with a like-minded person.

I stand by my original response. I am not jealous, suffocating, nor am I expecting. I give and if someone else has issues; it becomes the hard part. What they do with it, or I try and help them with, either works or it doesn't.
I had one relationship that nothing was ever going to make sense to him. I feel so sorry for him. He is beyond learning or trusting himself.

The WORLDS religion can never be love because most of the world doesn't have a clue what love actually is... I believe that if people loved themselves allot more... This world would be ready for love to take over.
There will never be ONE solid religion for one simple reason...
No one shares the same exact story. Each mind is in itself, a world of it's own. We flock to those who are like minded and we relate, but those that we do not understand, we either don't accept outright, keep at bay, or mock or ridicule or at worst try and conquer! The idea of global love sounds beautiful, but then it makes you think... If there is no more negative, how will we even know the difference any more... You gotta have a control specimen to set the examples..

This same love discussion has been rolled around a couple of different threads. Pretty much, I'm coming to the conclusion that people, individuals, need to be taken as is on a case by case basis and Spider is correct, the discrimination of who enters my life does need to be made on the basis of merit based on my own discernment.

For all those that say love is an illusion, I think you have just seen the death of love recently or could not get over the death of love some time ago. Love is VERY real, and so is hate. But everything in the span of human existence (emotions included) all have shelf lifes.... Some just rot sooner than others... But true love would say... Though love has died today, she will be reborn tomorrow, just as hate will too.. It's really an intricate cycle and it's crucial to our beings....
