Not well. Getting a touch of the flu is not how I was hoping to spend the start of the new year. Although I was hoping for a few days off from work, guess I needed to clarify a bit as to how I'd like that to happen, haha. I do feel grateful that I don't have the full blown flu, I don't like being sick or bedridden. It's annoying and very inconvenient, I've got things I want to do. I suppose the Universe, or my body, is telling me I need to rest instead.

 I’m not surprised. It’s probably taken you the best part of a week to take down your Christmas decorations  Lmao actually the only thing I have managed to get down is the decorations off the tree... Have not even got the lights off or taken it down yet... seems I've caught a bug that has taken my energy... |

I was feeling pretty crappy and mad at myself for agreeing to work today when I wasn't 100% better. The day started off with no heat in the building and I spent about 5 hours feeling like an icicle. I managed to get through the 8 hours without choking anyone or giving into my emotions, I was definitely quite emotional, least on the inside, lol. But in the end it was all worth it. An elderly lady locked herself out of her car shortly before it was time for me to go. The police wouldn't help because of covid, so I gave her the number for AAA. In the meantime, a couple of guys who were auto glass repairmen came into the store, so I asked them if they could help. Their simple act of kindness and the joy on the lady's face when they got into her car warmed my heart and I suddenly felt better. It's been good day.
