Topic: I'm not a racist, but... | |
---|---|
Hmmm.. We each have a preference, and that's yours, some things said in that context are nothing but racism in my opinion. So.... is it racism when people on here don't want to engage with someone from certain countries and say "Get your greencard on your own merits!"? Is it racism is you say I don't want a partner from the USA/UK/Germany/France/Italy/ and so on because I know upfront it won't work out due to cultural differences? Is it racism if you do not want a man from a certain country with a certain religion because you know you don't want to convert to being a Muslima? If you know you cannot live their life-style? Is that racism or knowing what you need to be happy and fulfilled in life, knowing through experience what matches you and what not? Is it racism when I can truly appreciate the thousands of Somalians in a specific city, can wholeheartedly understand why they came here, knowing full well what kind of disaster their country is, but still NOT agree with them being here because they do not fit in and there's way to many? Is it racism when I feel it is not a problem that should be sorted by us but in their own country? Racism is looking down on people because of their skin colour, religion, race. I don't. I don't think with every black man I see, oh, he's a criminal or drug dealer. I don't think that either when I see some white hippie dude who looks like a Native American Indian. I like people, the differences and I'm nuts about culture. That doesn't mean though I feel they should all come over here. Nor does it mean I want to or can be in relationship with them. I also couldn't be in relationship with a man who's shorter. Is that racism?? This is what I'm trying to explain. This racism thing has gone too far. It's become a card that can be played. Unless you're white, and that isn't right either. |

If I discriminate against you because of your morality, is that racist? No, that's a value judgement, although it might not be valid. |

I do not need any questions, I think we all know what it is..
Racism... Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior. |

it depends upon which definition is applied really
just the suffix ism implies a practice of principles of In its simplest most innocent use, anyone who really uses or ascribes to the existence of race is 'racist'. Now, to what extent we consider race or of what significance race is given in our interactions or prejudgements with others, that is another story I believe less than one percent of people who have lived off grid and away from media and public education are not racist, but I do not believe all racism is of the same ilk, some only from a place of innocent ignorance, and some from a place of dangerous ego and separatism ' |

Looks like it my friend racism is also a preference, it just sounds nicer if it is called preference people preferred to dehumanize others as different or less than themselves to justify how they treated them, they preferred to keep them separate and less than. ... |

If I discriminate against you because of your morality, is that racist? No, unless you are prejudging and assuming my morality based on nothing but my race ... THAT would be racist. |

According to the progressive left and other groups everyone is a "racist" that doesn't agree with them. Or the other favorite thing NPCs call you is Russian bots.
Don't even worry about people trying to guilt=shame you into thinking stupid stuff. Be the person you are. And then become a better version of yourself as time goes on. |

My bad?

Saying you're not a racist but just "prefer" to be with your "own kind". Is the same thing as say you're just a little bit pregnant.

Catholic church? Cardinals mating? * no comment * Well, according to Monty Python's "People's Front of Judea" men too have the right to a uterus. So lord knows what this cardinal mating can lead to. |
