Feeling better about the job after talking with my director. It might be nice to spend a full year in Vermont. It doesn't mean I can't still travel, I just have to take little trips and being in New England, that works out great... I love New England. And when they are slow I can take a little vacation for a change instead of going to all these places to work. Sounds like a good plan to me! Staying in the same place a while longer can also be great, a bit more stability and a sense of settling in. A little vacation sounds great too! Getting to see things for yourself :) Thanks Crystal, it does make sense and I will be staying in a house, not a dorm. So it will be more homey, like the place I'm in now. Most places... the ocean, mountains, bigger cities like Boston, and such are within two hours so it's a good spot to be. Changing subjects.... Haha, I so don't miss those days of pms'ing.... it might be best to carry a pillow around with you, less damage to the windows, haha. Exactly! Homey :) As for the PMSing... hoping it was a one-off, haha.

Feeling pretty awesome. I just spoke with my HR Director and found out if I stayed here I'd be up for a 50 cent raise instead of a 25 cent raise, which is the minimum. Made me feel really good. And he told the HR Director in Vermont that my current hourly wage plus the 50 cents is what I deserve and should get. Still waiting... that part drives me crazy, haha.

Unless they want me to come earlier, that would be difficult since I already bought my airline ticket.

That's actually a possibility, the HR Director suggested they might be able to help with travel expenses. But we are expecting a hurricane on the 1st, so it's going to be bad weather early that week, may as well wait until the 7th.

I'm getting absolutely no cooperation from anyone at work. I feel really disappointed about that. They aren't making any decisions until tomorrow, but I don't really have the luxury of waiting... the longer I wait, the less chance I have of getting a flight out of here. If it's still possible. The airport is still open but they are already starting evacuations in that area.
