Pelosi agrees that the country is in a 'constitutional crisis'
"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she agreed with House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler who declared that the country is in a “constitutional crisis” after his panel voted Wednesday to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress for failing to turn over the unredacted version of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report along with underlying evidence. “The administration has decided that they’re not going to honor their oaths of office,” Pelosi, D-Calif., said Thursday at her weekly press conference. She called it “appalling that this administration would not even pretend to want to protect our elections and in fact be an obstacle to our finding out more about how it happened so we can prevent it from happening again". http://www.yahoo.com/news/pelosi-trump-is-almost-selfimpeaching-155726777.html Top Dems Now Have Access to All But Two Full, Seven Partial Lines of Mueller’s Obstruction Report "As Congressional Democrats prepare to hold attorney general William Barr in contempt over his supposed lack of transparency, it’s worth remembering that he has made available to top Democrats the entirety of volume II of the Mueller report, save for two full and seven partial lines, which were redacted to protect grand jury secrecy in keeping with federal law". http://www.nationalreview.com/2019/05/mueller-report-volume-ii-available-top-congressional-democrats/ Trump says Senate subpoena of Donald Jr. left him 'very surprised' "Trump on Thursday said he was “very surprised” — and appeared displeased — that the Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee issued a subpoena for Donald Trump Jr., the president’s eldest son, to answer more questions about his contacts with Russia. “I was very surprised,” the president told reporters during an event that was supposed to focus on medical billing reform at the White House. People close to Trump Jr. say he is resisting the subpoena and may invoke his Fifth Amendment right to refuse to answer questions, according to the New York Times" Innocent people have no reason to plead the 5th. http://news.yahoo.com/trump-says-he-was-very-surprised-about-senate-subpoena-of-don-jr-182248762.html Exclusive: Trump, the billion-dollar loser — I was his ghostwriter and saw it happen "On Tuesday, the New York Times scooped the world on the news that from 1985 to 1994, Donald Trump incurred the biggest business losses of any single taxpayer in American history. What was it like for him to lose more than $1 billion in a decade? Was he perpetually ashen-faced with fear? Or smirking at the thought of outwitting the IRS “for sport,” as he said in a Wednesday morning tweet". http://news.yahoo.com/trump-the-billiondollar-loser-his-ghostwriter-recalls-the-king-midas-years-090000640.html Trump got the crisis he wanted in Iran. Now what? "This week, one year after President Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal, relations between Washington and Tehran approached a crisis, with an American carrier strike force headed for the Persian Gulf and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo making a sudden trip to Baghdad to consult with Iraqi officials. In fact, precipitating a crisis was the point of the administration’s strategy; the question now is how well they manage it". http://news.yahoo.com/trump-got-the-crisis-he-wanted-in-iran-now-what-173946309.html |

The host of “Full Frontal” broadcast the clip from the 2003 documentary “Born Rich” during a segment in which she spotlighted a New York Times report that Trump accumulated almost $1.2 billion in business losses from 1985 to 1994. Trump calls for prosecuting John Kerry for talking to Iran
“Everything President Trump said today is simply wrong, end of story,” Kerry’s spokesperson responded in a statement. “He’s wrong about the facts, wrong about the law and sadly, he’s been wrong about how to use diplomacy to keep America safe. Secretary Kerry helped negotiate a nuclear agreement that helped to solve an intractable problem. The world supported it then, supports it now. We’d hope the president would focus on solving foreign policy problems for America rather than attacking his predecessors for theater". http://news.yahoo.com/trump-calls-for-prosecuting-john-kerry-for-talking-to-iran-184846100.html |

Should Attorney General William Barr be impeached?
" U.S. Attorney General William Barr's testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee — and his refusal to appear before its counterpart in the House -– has spurred Democrats to ramp up their tactics to obtain an unredacted copy of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report. Barr has defied subpoenas from the House requesting the full report. On Wednesday, the House Judiciary Committee voted to hold him in contempt. In the hours before the vote, the president asserted executive privilege to prevent the full report from being shared". http://news.yahoo.com/should-attorney-general-william-barr-be-impeached-210349501.html |

Judge Napolitano: Barr’s ‘Foolish Attempt’ to Sanitize Mueller Report Was ‘Dumb and Insulting’
Since it's not that long I'll post the full story here. "In a FoxNews.com op-ed and subsequent video essay on the network’s streaming service Fox Nation, senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano shredded Attorney General William Barr for his “misleading” and “disingenuous” attempt to spin the conclusions of the Mueller report, adding that the attorney general was “deceptive” during his congressional testimony. With the House Judiciary Committee voted Wednesday to recommend the House hold Barr in contempt for failing to turn in the full un-redacted Mueller report, Napolitano said Thursday that the attorney general is also under fire for deceiving Congress, notably for telling the House last month he was unaware of any criticisms from the Mueller team over his initial four-page summary of the report’s findings. “But of course, Barr did know because Mueller told him in his letter of the complaints his office had about the four-page letter,” Napolitano said, adding Mueller “made a permanent record of his complaint about Barr's sanitized letter, and Barr hid that record from Congress.” Claiming that Barr “dropped the ball again” by ignoring the Judiciary Committee’s subpoena for the un-redacted report, the Fox analyst said the attorney general should have sought a judge’s opinion on the “lawfulness of compliance” rather than giving the House an opportunity to hold him in contempt. “What’s going on here?” Napolitano wondered. “It is clear that Barr's four-page letter, about which Mueller complained to Barr and some of Mueller's team complained to the media, was a foolish attempt to sanitize the Mueller report.” The judge continued: “It was misleading, it was disingenuous, it was even deceptive. Also, because Barr could argue that all or nearly all of the Mueller report would soon become public, it was dumb and insulting.” Napolitano went on to further criticize Barr for saying Trump had been exonerated on the charge of conspiracy, stating that the DOJ wasn’t “in the business of exonerating the people it investigates” and the Mueller report “revealed “127 communications between Russian agents and Trump campaign officials in a 16-month period.” “That is hardly an exoneration,” he added. The judge, meanwhile, said it was ironic that House Democrats now claim the attorney general violated the same obstruction of justice statutes that the special counsel found President Trump violated. “This is a gravely serious charge against the attorney general of the United States,” he declared. "Attorney General Barr's prosecutors regularly prosecute defendants for doing what it appears the attorney general himself has done." Interestingly, while Napolitano published the op-ed and video on Thursday morning, the judge—who has been pilloried by the president recently for saying he obstructed justice—was not asked to address any of this during his appearance on Fox & Friends or his subsequent hit on Fox Business Network’s Cavuto: Coast to Coast". http://www.yahoo.com/news/judge-napolitano-barr-foolish-attempt-205941227.html http://www.thedailybeast.com/foxs-judge-napolitano-barrs-foolish-attempt-to-sanitize-mueller-report-was-dumb-and-insulting?source=articles&via=rss |

Charlie Munger: Trump is not primarily responsible for US economic success
"President Donald Trump is not primarily responsible for U.S. economic success, says Charlie Munger, the right-hand man of Berkshire Hathaway (BRK-A, BRK-B) CEO Warren Buffett. “I think [Trump] deserves some credit, but a lot of it just happened,” says Munger, 95, in his first interview after the Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders Meeting". http://finance.yahoo.com/news/charlie-munger-trump-120000112.html |

I watched a very interesting PBS/NOVA documentary on "America VS China". Aside from all of the current anti-Trump media and democratic retoric it became very apparent that as a whole we are in an economic cold war with China Much more dangerous that Russia's Putin. This new cold war started because of policy decisions made (or allowed) by the Clinton, Bush and Obama administrations.
China has been raping our nation financially and in high technology and these three administrations did nothing to stop it. Both houses of congress are just as much to blame. What is odd is that the "liberal" democrat's still seem to be fighting the president in his efforts to change this uneven trade situation. No his program may not be perfect but then who's ever is? In a war there are short term and long term goals. Likewise, there are short term and long term casualties that have to be (unfortunately) worked through. The media and democrat's are using any and all short term casualties to fight the president at every opportunity. They're placing political posturing for the 2020 election above the good of the nation. This might stand to reason because many of them are one world government and financial system devotees. Unfortunately the Chinese will not be as open to the world economic communities protests as America is (not that our corporate leaders are faultless). I, seriously, suggest all here find and view that documentary. You see a bigger picture that a 2 minute news clip doesn't provide, with lots of proof. We are in an economic war but most can't and some do not want to see it. The president has commented on this for 25 to 30 years. |

We capture them, process them through a medical check, provide them food, and then release them into our country on their promise to show up for their court date. We release them into some community where other people help them with food, clothing, housing and/or transportation. We need a much better system but our Congress is incapable of dealing with any immigration issues. This is not a new situation nor one of just Trump's making. I'm sure it goes back at least 20 - 30 years without any meaningful solutions. We now have a democrat controlled House that is incapable of doing anything other than attacking Trump. A wasted 2 years of Congress at the taxpayer's expense!! |

Donald Trump asserts executive privilege over Mueller report as House panel debates holding attorney general in contempt
"WASHINGTON – The White House said Wednesday that President Donald Trump has asserted executive privilege over special counsel Robert Mueller’s report into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. The decision, announced by White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, came as the House Judiciary Committee debated whether to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress for refusing to provide the entire unredacted report to lawmakers". http://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/barr-contempt-mueller-report/index.html More contempt citations ahead for Trump advisers: senior U.S. Democrat "WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Congressional Democrats, faced with blanket opposition to their oversight probes by President Donald Trump, are considering more contempt citations against administration officials who defy their subpoenas, a leading Democrat said on Friday". http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-congress-mueller/more-contempt-citations-ahead-for-trump-advisers-senior-u-s-democrat-idUSKCN1SG1ZE Nadler: Mueller will not testify before Congress next week "WASHINGTON -- Rep. Jerry Nadler announced Friday that special counsel Robert Mueller will not testify next week before the House Judiciary Committee. The committee earlier this month called for the special counsel to testify on May 15. “It won’t be next week. We’re negotiating now,” Nadler, D-N.Y., said, according to his office. He added that lawmakers are currently in talks with both Mueller and the Justice Department". http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2019/05/10/nadler-muller-wont-testify-congress-next-week/1166004001/ Comey: 'No doubt' Trump would be charged with obstruction if not president "WASHINGTON — Former FBI Director James Comey said Thursday that Donald Trump would have been charged with obstruction of justice if he was not a sitting president, based on the findings in special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe report. The comment came during a roughly one-hour long town hall broadcast on CNN, where Comey touched on a number of issues, including whether he will run for office and his thoughts on how best to respond to school shootings". http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2019/05/10/comey-no-doubt-trump-would-charged-obstruction-if-not-president/1159861001/ Complete and utter bullshyt. Bill Clinton, even though he was cleared of most charges, including obstruction, was charged while still a sitting president. Trump doesn't deserve to be treated any differently. It's the same thing as saying Trump is above the law. Trump, as far as obstruction goes has been blatant about it. Not even trying to hide it. But for some reason, he deserves better treatment than Clinton. Clinton was cleared. Trump is dirty. And he doesn't try to hide it. This has to be the most crooked administration in US history. President Clinton impeached "After nearly 14 hours of debate, the House of Representatives approves two articles of impeachment against President Bill Clinton, charging him with lying under oath to a federal grand jury and obstructing justice. Clinton, the second president in American history to be impeached, vowed to finish his term. In November 1995, Clinton began an affair with Monica Lewinsky, a 21-year-old unpaid intern. Over the course of a year and a half, the president and Lewinsky had nearly a dozen sexual encounters in the White House. In April 1996, Lewinsky was transferred to the Pentagon. That summer, she first confided in Pentagon co-worker Linda Tripp about her sexual relationship with the president. In 1997". http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/president-clinton-impeached Trump Intends to Drive the Constitutional Order Off a Cliff. Democrats Should Be Saying 'Impeachment' Loud and Proud. "It's days like this on which my inner Uncle Joe Cannon comes out. There may be parliamentarians out there that will chime in and tell me I couldn't do it, but, were I Jerrold Nadler, Democrat of New York and chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, I'd have called the committee to order on Wednesday morning, ruled every attempt at amendment out of order, held the vote to hold Attorney General William Barr in (his obvious) contempt of Congress, and then adjourned for the day". http://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/trump-intends-drive-constitutional-order-212700697.html KELLYANNE CONWAY'S REPEATED HATCH ACT VIOLATIONS WOULD 'END THE CAREER OF ANY CAREER GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL': WATCHDOG "Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway’s continued violations of the Hatch Act “would most likely end the career of any career government official,” according to a watchdog that filed a complaint Wednesday calling for an investigation on her. Trump declares himself 'your favorite all time president' as new China tariffs take hold
"Modesty has never been Donald Trump’s strong suit. On Friday, for instance, the president upgraded his assessment of himself the same day that he hiked tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods, a move that is likely to hurt American consumers and farmers, at least in the short run". http://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-now-says-he-is-your-favorite-all-time-president-as-new-china-tariffs-take-hold-190707331.html "Your favorite all time president," says the only president in modern history to never reach a 50% approval rating and will be very lucky to stay above 40%. There is no limit to his making himself the greatest laughing stock of this Country, and probably the world. Can you imagine what the world is thinking of us now with this crooked administration in power? They can't be gone fast enough. Until Trump came along, Buchanan was considered by many as the worst US President. What was his great sin? He let the Civil War happen. He seemed to favor the South and ignored his oath to protect all of the United States. It took almost 160 years but it finally happened. There was someone worst than Buchanan. Someone else who neglected their oath. The ghost of James Buchanan thanks you Mr. Trump for finally freeing him of the title of worst US President. |

House passes $19B disaster aid bill over Trump opposition
"WASHINGTON (AP) — The House on Friday passed a $19 billion disaster aid bill that would deliver long-sought relief to farmers, victims of hurricanes and floods, and rebuild southern military bases, as Democrats try to dislodge the legislation from a Senate logjam over aid to hurricane-slammed Puerto Rico". The measure passed by a 257-150 vote over the opposition of most Republicans, who said it should also include the Trump administration's $4.5 billion request for stepped up humanitarian aid and law enforcement along the U.S.-Mexico border, which is facing a wave of migrants fleeing violence in Central America. http://www.apnews.com/92594d53851042278c28dd5edb6613e7 Just a thought. Trump has been screwing over Puerto Rico for a while now. Treating them like some redheaded stepchild. In one sense of the word, you may as well say he is throwing away the Hispanic vote. If you stop and look at it, that's a large segment of the population that's gonna vote Democrat. I'm sure there will be some that will stick with the Republicans. But others, they will not forget that it was the Democrats that got them the aid they needed long ago. Puerto Rican's that live further inland here that has family there, they are not going to forget who sent help either. They are not going to forget the one who held it back. They aren't going to forget who treated them like second class or less citizens. Score another one for the Democrats. Puerto Ricans in the United States: A Statistical Profile "The Pew Hispanic Center has for some time been keeping records on people living in Puerto Rico, and on people from Puerto Rico living in the States. According to the most recent report, Puerto Ricans are the second-largest Hispanic subgroup in the U.S. after Mexicans, constituting 9.5 percent of the total U.S. Hispanic population. They are most heavily concentrated in Florida and the Northeast, but there are pockets of Puerto Ricans throughout the country. Among the 5.1 million Hispanics of Puerto Rican origin in the United States, about two-thirds were born in the United States. About a third (29.9%) were born in Puerto Rico, and approximately 1 percent were born in outside of either the United States or Puerto Rico". http://www.puertoricoreport.com/puerto-ricans-in-the-united-states-a-statistical-profile/#.XNY87Y5KiUk |

Trump lawyer Giuliani threatens, then abandons, Ukraine trip
"NEW YORK (AP) — Democrats denounced a plan by President Donald Trump's personal attorney to push Ukraine to open investigations that he hopes could benefit Trump politically, decrying it as an overt attempt to recruit foreign help to influence a U.S. election. But Rudy Giuliani late Friday said he does not plan to go to the Ukraine because of concerns about who he would be dealing with there". http://www.apnews.com/0d7a2c280a8a4a588fb28c06e618d171 The Trump justice department is not looking into this has a crime, so he goes to a foreign country and asks them to look into this has a crime. He claims he is going as a private citizen, yet when the country knows you are the lawyer for the president and the country needs your help to keep Russia out then that country will view it has an official request from the president. Once again he is requesting an investigation the TRUMPS own DOJ says is not a valid investigation. Also, who is paying for this trip? It cannot be the government because Rudi is going has a private citizen. If it is the campaign committee then there is the question about breaking the law, using campaign money to obtain something of value from a foreign government. It's not unusual for members of Trump's inner circle to seek help from foreign governments to influence US elections |

Firestorm erupts around Sen. Richard Burr, the man behind Donald Trump Jr. subpoena. He's not backing down
"WASHINGTON — North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr is not one to make a splash. So when the Senate Intelligence Committee, which Burr chairs, issued a subpoena to Donald Trump Jr., it didn’t leak out for a couple of weeks. When the news finally broke, Burr refused to talk about it. That didn’t stop the onslaught from fellow Republicans, including President Donald Trump who said he was “very surprised” by the move. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul called it “persecution of the president’s family.” Even Burr’s fellow North Carolina Republican, Sen. Trump says voters don't care about his personal tax returns
"WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is scoffing at Democrats' attempts to pry loose his tax returns, saying his refusal to release the records as a candidate didn't hurt him in 2016 and voters "didn't care" about the issue". http://www.usnews.com/news/politics/articles/2019-05-10/house-democrat-issues-subpoenas-for-trump-tax-returns The Public Wants Trump’s Tax Returns "President Donald Trump and his apologists have concocted an excuse for his refusal to release his tax returns. They claim that voters, by electing Trump president in 2016, gave him a mandate to keep his returns private. The tax question “was already litigated during the election,” acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney declared in a Fox News interview on Sunday. “Voters knew the president could have given his tax returns. They knew that he didn’t. And they elected him anyway.” On Monday, Trump’s deputy press secretary, Hogan Gidley, repeated that Democrats had “litigated this in 2016” and that voters had rejected their arguments. On Wednesday, Trump said the public had cleared him. “I got elected last time with this same issue,” said Trump, “because, frankly, the people don’t care". http://slate.com/news-and-politics/2019/04/trump-tax-returns-voters-polls-show-americans-want-them.html Most Voters Support Democrats’ Quest for Trump’s Tax Returns "51% of all voters, including 46% of independents, back House Democrats’ efforts to obtain President Donald Trump’s tax returns.
