Topic: How much time do you spend watching TV | |
---|---|
I find these days TV occupies a good deal of free time... I normally don't watch it in the morning or during the day well I'm at work..
Obviously.... but I do find it is the big go to place.. next to posting on here that is LOL... .. for some it has become the babysitter for their kids... or that voice that fills the room and chases away the emptiness.... it's the big distraction between you and your partner.. keeps you both entertained.. Fills up the silence spaces.... but whatever the reason how much TV do you watch? |

Myself I normally don't watch it till around 7pm in the evening for a couple hours before I go to bed if I don't fall asleep in the recliner... also turn it on for the noise when I go to bed.. Tv turns off after a couple hours on it's on automatically..
Heck it is on in the other room now with Big Bang Theory on lol.... I spend most of my time on the computer instead.. in my office.. Which I have a tv that is still in the box and have not hooked up yet..lmao |

I admit, I watch a lot of tv. I get up in the morning, make coffee and watch the news and some talk shows. Tv keeps me company. Every once in a while, I sleep on the couch and leave the tv on.

I watch a lot of RT America at night ... if I did not live in the country... This winter my tv has been on a lot. I used to only watch it in the evenings but I got hooked on watching in the heat of the night from noon until 4pm. Saw every show two or three times before I got bored watching it. Now tv is on I guess for noise. Kind of funny because when my kids were growing up watching their shows all...the...time the noise of tv drove me crazy.

I got so annoyed with the never-ending, always climbing cable prices,
so I told them the next time it went up for no reason I would cancel the TV, it did so I did, maybe 3-4 years ago? Have seriously not missed it as we never watched it anyway..now I have YouTube ;-) |

I have more and more often thought of getting rid of my telly altogether. However, I dont want to become 'addicted' to devices. I enjoy watching streaming, but dont want to have a device in my hand that often. So, for that reason only, the telly stays. I have not had cable in several years. Too many channels of garbage at too high a price for me.

I don't watch a lot of tv. I spend a fair bit of time on the internet though.
too much of tv is adverts, and nonsense for me. I find if I start watching something quite interesting on the TV, i end up watching any old crap afterwards. And waste hours just vegging goggle eyed, in front of the thing. just going through the listings is usually enough to make me turn it off. |

I watch PC, I watch everything online.
I have an old telly, no flatscreen. It is never on. It's not ever connected to cable anymore. I would've dumped it if I could carry it. It weighs a ton I watch a series/movie during dinner, and depending on what I have to do a couple of hours before I go to sleep. In between I do spend time on websites like Mingle or other fora. I'd say 4-5 hours. NEVER during the day. It's not company, just a nice way to relax, sometimes learn interesting things even. |

I watch very little tv. Maybe a few hours a month. I spend far more time on line.
I moderate a seniors chat site, I DJ on line, and that consumes a lot of time. |

Only watch tv for the news like 1 hour a day if I get home in time to watch it. :)

zero hours - I don't have a TV
my life has improved a lot since I got rid of the telly. The main reason was that here in the UK you have to pay a license fee and where I live in particular you don't get a signal, so on top of it you have to pay for special equipment or sign up with Sky - and to pay that much money a month to see what the basic package has to offer is just ridiculous. So I went back to reading books, going out with friends, and spend more time at the cinema and theatre I don't miss the box at all... |
