Yes, I'll be working seven days before a day off. That's the problem when they change the schedule. I think I may have had the weekend off again if I hadn't said anything. Oh well, I prefer to work when we're busier. Sundays off would be nice though.

Not really, it's not over time. The work week starts on Saturday.

It works out better this way. Next week we don't have any guests, it's only employees. So having Monday and Tuesday off will be good.

I didn't understand your joke and still don't get it! And it's annoying when someone says "Oh nevermind" and laughs.

That's fine though, I don't need to understand or get it. But I do need to get ready for work.

See you later, have a good day. waving

it's because you're not working OT, just regular hours, so I was saying to nevermind my "Mo' money" comment. Wasn't trying to be annoying...

Have a good day. waving

Thanks Delightful, you too flowerforyou

Thank you Jan, sorry you're having to work such long hours flowerforyou

I will definitely know how that feels this summer. Right now I'm being spoiled with only 35-40 hours happy

My manager here is coaching me today for my interview this afternoon. Pretty cool of him to help me be successful elsewhere bigsmile

The YMCA is pretty great that way.

Have a good rest of the day everyone waving

Major down fall... the ranch doesn't have cell phone coverage for my phone. I won't know until after I speak with them what works. According to the info online, it's AT&T. I don't want to have to switch phones, I don't think. It's $10 to $25 more, $25 if I want hotspot service.

Hi Delightful waving

I have the Head of Housekeeping interview at 4pm today, in 50 minutes.

I'll find out from them what towers work there, but it looks like it's only AT&T. Net10 wireless runs off AT&T and is around the same as I pay now, but they don't offer unlimited data plans. That's what I have now. So long as I get WiFi where I am, it doesn't matter though.

None of the other employers expected me to call, they called.

Good thing I pretty much made up my mind before the non-existent interview.

Mackinac Island is the better choice. After getting my mind off what's a better career choice, I was able to see which one better suits my needs and goals, and the Island job does.

I spoke with my manager today too about the position at the Island bed and breakfast place and was able to see that it also would look good on my resume. I would be managing the one property one day a week slaphead think laugh

Bed & Breakfast Manager/Caretaker and Front Desk Assistant looks good! bigsmile

Thanks Mikey and Delightful flowers flowers

It is beautiful there, part of my difficulty in choosing was that I lived there for 23 years. Not Mackinac Island, but Northern Michigan. I wanted to check out other places and I absolutely love the mountains. There are no antelope, moose, bears, and probably no deer on the island. There's horses but it costs $45 an hour to be able to ride them.

I think I saw going back there or even going back to my old job as a conclusion to my journey. That I will be stuck there for the rest of my life. I don't want to live in Northern Michigan for the rest of my life, no matter how beautiful it is. I don't particularly like Michigan or it's weather.

But being there for a short time and being closer to my sons will be really nice. It is beautiful there and if I take the ferry to St. Ignace on a day off, there's a deer farm and a couple other places I can check out that I didn't get a chance to when I was there.

The start day is April 15th, but they'd like me to get there earlier. After I leave here on the 11th or 12th, so I will probably get there on the 13th.

I'm going to Traverse City first. I need to go to Walmart and get pants for work. I can stay at my son's house and either they can drive me over, or I can take the bus. The bus will get me to the ferry location late, so I'd have to stay at a motel until the next morning.

It's going to be a lot of traveling in one or two days, then starting work right after that. I may tell them I can't get there until the 14th, that way I can relax for a day. I'm not sure yet.

Oh, google Hart's Inn on Mackinac Island. That's where I'll be living. I'll be working at Metivier Inn. happy
