it's her car,it's what she lkes.why should I care how much she paid for it. so long as I dont wind up making the payments on it. it;s of no concern of mine, she may judge me by what I choose to drive. and that would make this question a Moot point.
my newest car is 24 years old. and my oldest is from 1075.

1075? You may not be a spring chicken but you don't look THAT old.

Would not fuss me, for we all have wealth. Just some more visible than other types.

I'm fine with it as long as she can afford her lifestyle and not living on a shoestring!

I agree with oldkid. If she got it in a divorce and miscalculated if she could take on the debt or living beyond her means, it could affect you when she cries about how she's going to lose her car. But I highly doubt that situation would ever arise. Women are hypergamous in nature, so I doubt her Mercedes is driving to the same bar you parked your Gremlin.

To Judgy Mcjudger.... who gives a shlt how old a post is. Why do you comment on how old a post is, EVERYTIME somebody brushes off the cobwebs of a dusty ol one?

Your observation skills can point out the date of a thread, but that's as far as it goes - because an intelligent person could easily observe the fact that a moderator locks a new thread on an old topic. Not everyone has been here as long as you, so how's about you mind your own business.

thats suppose to be 1975/ not 1075/ LOL
but that dont mean I could not own an ox cart from 1075. ;-)
I'm not old enough to have bought a car from 1975 or even 1980 new off the lot either LOL.

So, lemme get this straight...

A spammer woke up a decade old dead thread and you guys think its an active thread because nobody seems to be posting anything actually worth discussing lately...Okay then

some sites prefer to have older existing threads re-purposed to re generate a recurring topic, then have new ones started.
for my self, I did not check the age of the topic, just as I would not ask a lady her age. before replying to her.
it's active because it was not locked or archived, and it is generating new responses . even you replied on it tom. LOL ;-) .

Oooohhh, sure hope "someone" doesn't see this.

He'll start calling you names.

If you found out a woman you were meeting drove a more expensive car than you, would it bother or intimidate you?

Truthfully, men....how do you feel when a potential date tells you she drives a higher end car?

What does it say to you?

I'd be thinking, BFD... depending on how
the topic came up. I'm happy to see when
someone has done well for themself.
But, I'm way more impressed, when depth
isn't limited to materialism.

I can say that men find it intimidating for sure!

The amount of times the guys I met mentioned my car confirms that.

As many other items the car doesn't make the woman.
If you're in a relationship that hinges on this it's pretty weak.
It certainly doesn't intimidate me smokin

SOME men MIGHT find it intimidating.

I like a fine automobile. And have owned several.

But if there's a smug moron behind the wheel, owning a nice car doesn't make them any less of a smug moron.

It does not matter to me. I have a free buss pass.
No need to pay for a car/fuel/insurance/tax/parking/repairs etc.
I would not ask a woman to drive, a nice meal a glass of wine, no worries.
