NO. Watching professional sports is a waste of my (and everybody else's) time. I'm sorry but who are you? (rhetorical) This sir, is the 2nd time you've posted unwarranted and negative comments in this Pub.. I would kindly ask you to please refrain from doing so in the future. Might I reiterate the RULES that have been enforced since 2006: RULES (posted outside the front door) 1. no guns allowed (must holster and check in to gain entry)
2. NO DRAMA.. sorry.. this is a DRAMA FREE zone folks.. gotta take it OUTside!
3. be Respectable to EVERYone at ALL times.. 4. bring your best wit and imagination!
If you wish to play along and have some actual fun with us, I encourage you to do so, if not? As mentioned above, please refrain from posting in this Pub. Respectfully, The Management! Free speech is more important than polite speech. This is my last post on this thread. |

I'm a 49er's fan.. so take yer Packers and get.. well.. packin
actually.. haven't watched a football game in some years.. not a FANatic
but I can watch THIS guy..
all the doo-dah-day
Believe it or not, there was a period in my youth where I went from being a faithful member of "the Packers Faithful" to a wild, drug-fueled, horny-arsed, long-haired, flower child, who didn't watch football at all (never was a college football fan anyway) for the ensuing decade. Then, in 1977 my wife started watching the 49ers on Sundays as well, while I was too busy working 24/7/365 to waste time on it. She convinced me to take up the hobby again so in 1978 I returned to the fold & once more assumed the mantle of the faith I was raised in. Since 1978 I have watched every single Packers game held - albeit I did have to listen on the radio to my Packers get hammered by the Rams in December while painting the external trim of a 3 story apartment building hanging off a the top of 60' extension ladder. (It tipped over and crashed to the ground as soon as I had stepped off of it.) I also had to listen to the Packers get another arse-whuppin' in the 3rd preseason game of 2006 at CIN, while we drove by Synergy Field in the dark on the way to a cousin's wedding in NJ. We pulled up outside Pittsburgh & checked into a motel by the airport where we watched the taxis deliver & pick up Johns from a "by the hour" motel down the hillside from our balcony. Other than those 2 specific instances though I have either watched the Packers play on TV or actually been in attendance at "The Frozen Tundra" - every single preseason, regular season & playoff game for 48 consecutive seasons I also watched most of the games played since watching my very first Packers game in 1957 on my grandparents' TV in Appleton (WBAY ch.2 GB & the 49ers won, dangnabit) up through the Ice Bowl and the utter destruction of KC & Oakland in the First 2 AFL-NFL World Championship games. (There was no such thingy as a "Super Bowl" until the following year's upset of the Colts by Joe "Willy" Namath.) But at the root of my return was my wife's interest in the SF 49ers in 1977. It's been a storied rivalry with that team from the Bay, for a loooooooong time. Currently WE stand at (35-28-1) in the regular season but SF leads in the playoff matches (6-4). Yer an awful long way from the West Coast to be a 49ers fan, Zee. Wazzup widdat?

Wondering why Fishingman has a profile photo of his belly instead of showing his face...
Ask the AI-bot that deleted the first 5 photos I tried to upload, then decided my belly wasn't as likely to scare women off as my face was. I typically try to avoid this place with that profile since the last 3 times it got the pac-man treatment immediately after doing so, but forgot I was on it when I did it this time. Still sitting here wondering how long before I hear the clang of steel slamming shut on it again. Because I spent the last 25 years living under 2 personalities (3rd person for my sports & opinion writing & 1st person for chit-chatting on forums) I'm really more comfortable with a split personality for this dating site. FishingMan typically handles my romantic interests while OldCoot socializes informally. I do NOT attempt to fool or trick anyone about it, I notify any significant interested parties almost immediately that I exist in a bifurcated fashion on here, but as I stated, it's more normal than not to compartmentalize myself online. I conduct myself the same in either profile, with the utmost respect for anyone I communicate with. I just spent two hours being nice to a pretty blatant scammer in Nigeria that appeared as in Tennessee, confessed to actually being in Iowa, then changed their location to a Nigerian location when I finally made it clear they were barking up a tree with no game up it and closed by adding that LYING about where you are is a REALLY bad look if you are trying to start up a long-term romantic connection. |

Free speech is more important than polite speech. Free speech is one thing.. disparaging speech while lumping EVERYone into your negativity is just plain rude and assumptive. However on an open forum such as this? PoLITE speech will get you much farther. This is my last post on this thread. Thank you! Appreciate that!
