We have Halo Night. Any of the three. 8 guys/girls on a 10ft. screen and a 62" screen. Two teams of 4. Also play Call of Duty 2 & 3 (soon will check out 4) and the every hyper and hectic Timesplitters games. Mainly 2 and Future Perfect. Always mult-player. On an older system, I enjoy Worms Armageddon and Chef's LoveShack. Mutant League Football isn't bad too. I've a 360, two X-Boxes (one mod.ed), two Nintendos, and a Sega. I don't play video games on my computer. Only D&D and D20 Anime, Present, & Future on a play/post gamesite I moderate.
I agree with Doom and the Quake Games as fun, too. I'm all about lan partys. |

Oh! Noone has mentioned Turok 2 on N64. It has a great battle mode for multi player fragging.

I've made a few home-made 3-d shooters...
If you'd like a good laugh, google: Doctor DoomZ GOBLIN Zdoom H-LZdoom and Haunted Mansion Zdoom. |

Well, since you can call Resident Evil 4 a "shooter", I will list this one too. I was really surprised how Capcom revamped the series. Glad they went in a new direction. I mean, I enjoyed REZero, but it was still a bit repetitive.

Medal of Honor games are great. I started FEAR and maybe I'm half way through but sort of lost intrest. Of course Orange Box took over.
Anyone interested in Universe at War(not even sure if it's 1st person) but I thought it looked good. |

DOOM
The first one I can't tell you how many times I've run through that game on every difficulty setting. The first stage music is soooo catchy! |

Whats a good FPS game that won't require a brand new computer (mine is only 2 months old and won't play painkiller because it doesn't have a separate graphics card!)?

damnitscloudy,
You have video on your motherboard, you just need to buy a video card, not a new computer. A new video card won't cost too much and it's easy to install. |

@damnitscloudy
Tremulous http://tremulous.net Its free (as in speech) too. |
|

|
damnitscloudy,
Tremulous sounds cool. You can also check out Soldier Front (http://sfront.ijji.com/), which is also free, but I don't know if it will work without a new video card. |

Thanks for all the suggestions! I've been playing Serious Sam for the last hour and forgot how crazy that game is. Its just waves of monsters attacking. No real plot, just going around Egypt gunning down everything that moves in Rambo style lol.

FPS, huh? Hmm...
Perfect Dark (N64) Halo 1, 2, and 3 (Xbox and 360) A few James Bond games (Goldeneye especially) Doom (Classic, who hasn't played it?) Marathon (made by same people as Halo) Those are my favorites. I've heard Quake is good, but I haven't played any of them yet. |
