I figure I've nothing to lose in posting that my Saturday evening gaming group is seeking another player or two. We currently have four males and one female (we're 25 to 36yrs.).
We play Dungeons & Dragons one Saturday and an Anime-style game the next. We play most Saturdays 7pm to midnight or 1am.

Who plays this game.............

Mainly people with good imaginations and some social skills. People who like fantasy, sci-fi, or cartoons on tv. Most gamers aren't shallow or self-centered but actually deep people and team players. If you like to write fiction or read fiction, you may like RPGs.
The games we play are for adults with a little bit of kid in them. You need a sence of humor, too, to play d&d or the other game (the Anime game has no title yet. I've been designing it).

Some members of my D&D Saturday group are interested in writing a book as well. We're not pro-writers(one fellow's spelling is awful), but it's something we'd eventually like to do.

***note: Gaming Night has nothing to do with dating. Male and/or females are welcome. This group is in South-eastern Wisconsin (Waukesha County) in Merton/Hartland.

I've done some drawing. And used to paint gaming miniatures.
It's been awhile, though. Some of my friends draw, paint, and do computer art.

Heck no! Internet is for gaming!!!
For historical and educational information. For geographic mapping and communication. Scientific research and dating initiation.
Porn is like carp in a river. Its everywhere, alot of people spear fish it, but it isn't good for the lake as a whole.
I can't say I have that much against it, but I think it's too accessable. Especially for teens and such that don't need to be looking at it.
Your internet may be for porn. Mine's for online gaming!

When it comes to meeting people, I don't think I follow any laws. The I try to follow the Don't be a Dork rule.

I wish I was. My family has a nice cabin (er house) on Long Lake over in McNaughton. I was in Wausau just before the fourth of July. Nice area.
It makes Hartland/ Delafield look ghetto !

I'm fortunate. I have friends away from the computer as well as on. No one I really talk to here...yet. But on the gameing forum that I moderate I have friends from all over the world. The downside is you don't get much opportunities to meet them. I'd love to hang with Jelle from the Netherlands or Aeris from Japan, but the distance and time-off thing kills that. For now, anyhow. I did meet a buddy from Indiana. Two of my friends and I 'kidnapped' him for a couple hours. No, seriouslly, we just picked him up at purdue and all went to lunch.
But I'm fairly good at keeping friends, whether highschool, college, or other. But my social life is Saturdays mainly. I work third and most of the people I interact with work 1st or 2cd. sad
When alone, I usually watch a film, read, or go shopping. Sometimes, when the neighbors are out, I turn up the music and boogey a little. (nothing too indecent).
Otherwise, I try to write. I'd like to finish something some day.
I don't know what'll happen if I get a woman in my life. I mean, some of my best pals are girls but you know...a girlfriend. Ah, someday. But I'm not in that much of a hurry that'll I'm gonna rush out and ask someone out.
But I think I'd go bonkers if all my friends were just on the computer and I had no one to laugh with or high-five.

We're getting more. Through Monday the um...20th (?).
Anyhow, 3.5 days of rain. Maybe four inches by mid-Sat. That could damper my Saturday night gaming.
I don't live near a river, either. A stream, but no river. But I'm near the bottom of a steep hill. Hopefully, things'll be ok. I don't get too lucky with bad weather, though.

Just saying hello. I do a little writing. I'm currently heading a world creation project for the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game on the play-by-post site I moderate on. It's kinda like creative writing. And we do write storys.
Anyhow, I've written stuff since I was little, many centuries ago. I used to write a bunch of pages an hour. But writer's block whooped my butt big time over the years. I wrote a few songs during/ right after highschool. When I had a band. Gosh. We were awful!
Anyhow, hello. And if I can work it in my schedule, I'll post a story in this forum. But I have to edit it. Make it more PG. My storys often get intence- even for fantasy and sci-fi. The story I have in mind was actually a game I ran at the gaming site. huh
Again, hello fellow writers. Whether you're a poet, songwriter, story teller, or muse...you should be respected for your creativity.

Hi. My names Dave. And I'm thinking of writing a story at this forum. Thinking about it. I'd put it up in the creative writing area with all the happy poems and love songs. It would be based on a game I ran at the gamesite I'm a moderater at. It would be a horror/sci-fi/survival story. I'd have to tone it down for this site. That means language and violence.
If I go through with this story, it'll be kinda Stephan Kingish, but I think quite a bit more bizaare.huh
I was also thinking of doing a co-op story here. A story where anyone can add to it. I know this could be difficultgrumble , with multiple people posting at once, but it could be neat.
...Lastly, greetings to you all. I'm posting this here because it's the Wisconsin forum. And if I'm gonna ever meet and hang out with anyone from this site- they'll likely be from Cheeseland.
So, I'm Dave. I enjoy reading and writing (seems obvious now). I also have alot of hobbies, but won't post them all as they should be in my profile.
I hope to hear from some of you here. Anyone like writing, by the way?
