Basically in every Artist's interview the questions remain the same.

If you separate the Artist from the person, Who are you?
If you separate the Person from the artist, Who are you?

Who are you Artist?

If you separate the Artist from the person, Who are you?
A dead person, literally or not.

Who are you Artist?
An artistic person laugh

Creating is an act and expression of sheer joy and sharing that with the world, from the heart. It's not what I do but who I am.
If you'd separate that, I'd lose the very essence of what is me.
Doesn't really matter a whole lot what others think of it, although it is really nice if they appreciate what I do. But I don't sell a whole lot, that doesn't stop me from creating.
I have to create, share, bring joy. A craving from the Soul.

As the creative process is such an integral aspect of my character; if that characteristic were removed? I have no clue as to what or who I'd be but I do know with 100% certainty that I would no longer be: ME.

Artist. Heart, soul and creativity.

I think I would go into some sort of withdrawal process if I was separated from my art...I would grieve it's loss terribly....I don't think I want to ponder that happening for too long.....I would also trust that something pretty amazing would replace it

Because I like to observe, closely analyze and either interpret or reproduce subjects to exacting detail. It's my way of interacting with the environment. No other field would allow me to do that.

I disagree, it isn't necessarily who you are, and it just happens to be something that you can do. It is simply whatever it is or was at that moment, nothing more. When you start defining it, and boxifying it, it ceases to be whatever it was. What's all that crap got to do with heart, its a skill, gift, talent or ability like anything else.

And yes I know a little about it because I've been doing some all my life.

I strive to be an artist. So I can't answer that. I am an illustrator though.
I've always painted, drawn and sculpted, since I was a child. So I'd probably be a shell id I didn't illustrate.

If you had to separate my artist side from me... you can't. As an artist, it really is a major part of who I am at my core. My soul is intertwined with my skill. It's what makes me a unique person. Every single piece I paint has a little part of me in it. I've been drawing and sketching ever since I could hold and pencil, I've been painting for nearly 18 years, continuously developing my skill and technique over the years.

I wouldn't be the person I am today without my gift with a brush.

You have to put heart into what you do, you can tell the difference in quality of work. I know I paint better when I put the very essence of my soul as an artist into a piece.

If I wasn't good (actually amazing) at what I do...it would something else. Would that not be a big part of who you are as a person ?

Being an artist has shaped who i am as a person. My thoughts, ideas, opinions... my personality and the way i see the world in a slightly different light than someone else, an artist really is who I am and the kind of person I choose to be.

I agree with you 100%. I am an artist and even though I enjoy other areas of art, my passion is painting. If I wasn't able to paint I would become severely depressed and probably would never snap out of it. Painting is an integral part of my life and it has been for a long time.
I can't say that I would trust something amazing to replace it because I can't think of anything that would.

I've been an artist for as long as I've been able to hold a pencil. I've dabbled in just about every medium in one format or another. I've never had children of my own, however I feel as each new piece of work I complete (although I never feel like anything is totally complete) is an extension of myself, almost like my children. I know that one day I won't be here, but my art will always be and that gives me comfort.

I do different mediums for my own piece of mind.To me its another form of meditating. As its my focus my world when I am in the act of creating. There is no outside interuptions no thoughts in genral on everyday moments. Here is where i escape the prosaic moments .Or moments that need to be created before they are lost. taking a moment thats pollution and focusing it in to a solution.

Does artist include musicians?

I used to draw, but I'd rather express myself playing an instrument.
