I start my new job tomorrow!!

And...what's even more exciting..I was worried about having to go out and buy the black pants and white shirt...but would have been willing to borrow the money to do so. But..I don't have to...they provide them!

A LOGICAL SOLUTION.

Now here is a problem that finally has a formula for getting to the bottom of an age old problem.
From a strictly mathematical viewpoint it goes like this:

What Makes 100%? What does it mean to give MORE than 100%? Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%? We have all been to those meetings where someone wants you to give over 100%. How about achieving 103%? What makes up 100% in life?

Here's a little mathematical formula that might help you answer these questions:

We all encouter crossroads in our lives, the point that some pessimists would say "make us or break us", but with God as a spiritual leader those hard times are so much easier.

My own personal experiences have taught me through "make or break pessimism"...and my "new" lifestyle (the preferable one) walking WITH God down the path of life. I believe that we all have "encouraged" paths, by God, but as humans we make our own decisions and that tells which direction that we will go. God is there for all of us regardless of the outcome...and he always seems to steer me back in the necessary direction.

Thank you Lord!

If it wasn't for God steering me after those hardships that I encountered two-and-a-half years ago, I doubt I would be on this site today.

God truly does work in mysterious ways...right nuenjins?love

Even the times that you think you can't take ANYMORE, God doesn't allow more than you can handle.

Your idea of a good friend (author unknown)

In Kindergarten your idea of a good friend was the person who let you have the red crayon when all that was left was the ugly black one.

In first grade your idea of a good friend was the person who counted the slowest for you when it was your turn at the water fountain.

In second grade your idea of a good friend was the person who helped you stand up to the class bully.

In third grade your idea of a good friend was the person who shared their lunch with you when you forgot yours on the bus.

In fourth grade your idea of a good friend was the person who was willing to switch square dancing partners in gym so you wouldn't have to be stuck do-si-doing with Nasty Nick or Smelly Susan.

In fifth grade your idea of a good friend was the person who saved a seat on the back of the bus for you.

In sixth grade your idea of a good friend was the person who went up to Nick or Susan, your new crush, and asked them to dance with you, so that is they said "no" you wouldn't have to be embarrassed.

Helped you pack up for college and just silently hugged you as you looked through misty eyes back at 18 years of memories you where going to leave behind. Finally, on those last days of childhood, went out of their way to give you reassurance that you would make it in college as well as you had the past 18 years, and most importantly, sent you off knowing you were loved.

Now your idea of a good friend is still the person who gives you the better of the two choices, holds your hand when you’re scared, helps you fight off those who try to bring you down, thinks of you at times when you are not there, reminds you of what you have forgotten, helps you put the past behind you but understand when you need to hold onto it for just a bit longer, stays with you so that you have confidence, goes out of their way to make time for you, helps you clear up your mistakes, and most of all, lets you know that you will always be loved. – unknown

A couple of Chanukah recipes:


Fruity Pot Roast (I tend to refer to this as Tzimmes)

Ingredients
5 lb. chuck roast
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. shortening
1 c. chopped carrot
1 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, do not drain
1 c. pitted prunes
1/2 c. dried apricots
1/2 c. raisins
3 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. cold water
Directions
Wipe roast with damp paper towel. Trim excess fat from roast. Rub salt and pepper into surface of roast.
In hot shortening, in 6 quart dutch oven, brown meat with carrot, onion, and garlic over high heat, turning to brown on all sides - about 20 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Pour tomatoes over roast.
Bake, covered, about 2 hours.
Add prunes, apricots, and raisins to Dutch oven.

Bake, covered, 1/2 hour or until beef is tender.
Remove roast and dried fruits to warm serving platter; keep warm.
Pour pan drippings into 2 cup measure. Skim off and discard fat.
Add water to make 2 cups.
Return to Dutch oven.
In small bowl, stir flour with 1/2 cup cold water until smooth.
Stir into pan juices, bring to boiling; reduce heat and simmer.


POTATO TZIMMES

Ingredients
5 lg. sweet potatoes, peeled, cut in chunks, and cooked
4 lg. carrots, peeled, cut in chunks, and cooked
1 c. pitted prunes, chopped
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/3 c. honey
2 tbsp. melted margarine
1/8 tsp. ground pepper
Salt, to taste
Orange juice, optional
2 or 3 apples, peeled and sliced

Directions
Mash sweet potatoes and carrots.
Mix in the prunes.
Add cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
Combine honey and margarine.
Grease a 2-quart casserole dish.

Alternate layers of mashed seasoned vegetables and apples, dribbling honey (and juice) mixture over each layer. End with vegetable layer. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.

Good morning all:

Just want to say hi and hope everyone is happy and well.


Our dear sweet nuenjins seems to have been pushed to the limit and was banned from the site.....I don't know if permanent or if just for a lil bit. Everyone just keep him in prayer and know he went out being a mighty warrior for Christ. I know how hard it is to stay civil with what people lay on us as Christians. But I also know that you will get much further with them being as honey then with bitterness.
