$ any1 that want's help and support,here it is,get the strong flavors of gum that can b found,like (artic chill)Keep chewin gum and instead of pickin up that cig,u r half way 2 beatin the 1ce bad habbit.I am sayin that this is a garintee that it will work 4 every1, but U must have the will 2 want 2 quit. It is up 2 u. I am here 4 the support and I have had the support from people on this site.

I smoked about two packs a day for like 60 years, about 5 months ago said I am through, laid an open pack by my computer it is still there no gum no patches no pills. just told myself you have quit there are times I want to pick up that open pack and light one, but would have to lean across a rounded up ashtray to do it, once you have quit you notice just how bad they smell it is all the incentive need to make you stay off.

I agree with the widow.....cold turkey worked for me....after holding my mom's hand on her death bed as she died from lung cancer made me have the will & want to quit.
Though I have occaisionally had one cig..I can go for days without and until my son smelled it on me a few weeks ago....I have not cheated again.

I need to quit......just don't wanna...

It is a tough thing to do fresh...I smoked for 20 something years ..my mom smoked for a lot longer then that..... her smoking was the cause of her death. I want a cigarette every single day....but, I do not want to die like she did .....and I do not want my children to watch me that way.

Honestly ,I don't think my brother and I will be totally right after taking that helpless journey with her. It's worth the try if you can quit.

Congrats to all that have stop smoking. I am giving it a shot too. I have 4 ciggs left in the pack i have now, and have been chewing gum since I got up this morning! I am hoping to be done smoking by the end of this week without the cravings to have just one more cigg!


I talked with country last night about this, and I truely appreciate the support he has given me on this!

figurin smokes range $3-$5 a pack here in N.Y. ......and I was smoking about 1 & 1/2 packs a day. So overall I was spending approx. 20$ a week on smokes..80$ a month!
Damnnn...thats more then my phone bill!

nicotine the most addictive substance known to man. it will be a fight for anyone who wants to quit, but if you just make your mind up and stick to it you will be able to succeed. it is not easy would not try to mislead you on that, still if I can do it I know anyone can.

That's right Ziba...I made a promise to all my kids that I will never smoke around them again(secondhand smoke kills)....even though I did cheat a few times...it was no where near them....nor will it ever be if I fail.

and they are very sensitive to the smell now.
