Jordan's King Abdullah II, a former commander of his country's special forces , angrily vowed to bombard the Islamic State until his military runs "out of fuel and bullets" after the release of a brutal video showing a captured Jordanian airman being burned alive in a cage.

Dubbed the "warrior king," Jordan's leader has clocked in 35 years of military service.

"He said there is going to be retribution like ISIS hasn't seen," said Republican Rep. Duncan Hunter Jr., a Marine Corps veteran of two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, who was in the meeting with the king. "He mentioned 'Unforgiven' and he mentioned Clint Eastwood, and he actually quoted a part of the movie."

Hunter would not say which part of "Unforgiven" the king quoted, but noted it was where Eastwood's character describes how he is going to deliver his retribution. There is a scene in the picture in which Eastwood's character, William Munny, says, "Any man I see out there, I'm gonna kill him. Any son of a ***** takes a shot at me, I'm not only going to kill him, I'm going to kill his wife and all his friends and burn his damn house down."

Why are most guys such cowards and live to give women a hard time?

so you don't want 'coward' guys who give women a hard time, but you want more guys to want to kill someone and their wife and friends?

Im confused,,,,,what

I like the Kings response, But the tie-in to most men suck...and most are coawards, while at the same time saying that women don't cause any problems and that everything that is wrong with world is to blame on men?

You sound fun laugh

So I'll play your game....make a crazy statement then back it up with a just enough information to "support" my view....

The Reason that there isn't many men left with "balls" is because WOMEN raised them be that way...

Before World War II Men families lived on farms, and men learned from OTHER men how to be a MAN...working in the fields, along side their fathers, uncles etc...During and after World War II, men were taken from their homes for war, and industrial jobs, thereby leaving women the job or turning young boys to men, no matter how good the intentions are, a women CANNOT teach a man how to be a man, they can only teach what they THINK a man should be....it's not the same.

During this time, there was a also a radical feminism movement that taught basically that just being a "man" is a bad thing "Men are pigs" etc...

Basically men for the last 70 years have been taught how to be a man by women, in the home, in the schools, in society.....so in my opinion, the reason that you can't find a MAN is because women like you over the last 70 years have been trying to define what a MAN SHOULD be....and so in summary the reason you can't find a MAN is because of WOMEN like yourself, saying what a man SHOULD be.

The End.

msharmony, the King of Jordan did not say that he wanted to kill innocent civilians.
Anyway, the reason for your confusion is that you don't quite understand what this thread is really about.
The original post of this thread was written as an excuse to bash most men.
This thread's original post follows a pattern of man-bashing that has been appearing in the forums.
This man-bashing behavior is now being called out for what it is.

I had no confusion about who said it

I was asking about her logic in highlighting this attitude as desired while stating she doesn't want men to give women a hard time,,

DANG ISAAC,,, I have to say I totally agree

(that's not gonna be popular,,lol)

we are heading towards an age where gender becomes one of those 'divisive' concepts because we are all the same,,

but I honestly believe in the design of man and woman creating life, and raising life,, and BOTH being cetran to raising a life

we need the same sex parent to teach us about growing up to be a man/woman

we need the opposite sex parent to keep in touch with that other part of what makes us,,,

we screwed our families when we tried to match mens insane ideas about doing whatever they want,,,as long as they paid the bills

I can't take all the credit, there is a a book, that is titled "No More Mr. Nice Guy" by Robert Glover. It is a good read, and essentially I just paraphrased it.

I'm sure you've seen me recommend it elsewhere, but I will always recommend it, I don't agree with everything it says, but he does have an interesting perspective on something called the "Nice Guy Syndrome" I'd recommend it to all my male friends, and while it states that it is "unashamedly Pro-male" he does have a female audience as well and currently i'm reading it a second time...this time with my girlfriend.

Before I get involved in this discussion, I would like to know how swearing to commit small-scale genocide and quoting Clint Eastwood is connected to giving women a hard time...

For myself I would like to point out that King Abdullah is not actually fighting Terrorists he like most Politicians, are "ordering" others to do the fighting as they are safely guarded behind closed walls. The real Hero's are the men and women who are actually dying or putting their lives on the line defending the innocent.

He spent 35 years in the military. You're thinking of George W. Bush.

There is no doubt that King Abdullah's military career is impressive. And there is no doubt that his swift action towards the current ISIS situation was also as impressive. He is a firm decisive leader.. a true leader.

But I seriously doubt that he has ever seen combat.. and your right, neither did George Bush. But many other U.S. leaders have.

7 U.S.( passed) Senators have received the Congressional Metal of Honor. The highest award that can be given to a military person. It is earned by extraordinary valor above and beyond the call of duty.. on the battle field.

Purple Heart recipients ( awarded for valor on the battlefield) that lead (passed or present)) our country are too many to list here, but include:

John F. Kenney.. President
John McCain Senator.., (POW)

This just to name a few.. the list goes on... and on.

So don't " cherry pick" out one of our leaders.. o.k... do your homework first.... maybe starting with your own country.

My sentiments exactly sir. The op has cherry picked comments to focus her frustration with past failures in relationships with men.As far as George W Bush one has to look no farther than his Father George Bush who as a fighter pilot and was shot down in combat, but none of this has a damn thing to do with a man being brave because even a mild mannered man can stand up to a threat when his family is in danger. The men in your past are not cowards just because things did not work out in your relationships.

If that is what it takes so be it....that is certainly what they would do to us if they get the chance!! So quickly we forget 911 and the worlds innocent women and children they murdered, I would level several whole dang countries to stop that from happening again. I am starting to feel just a ruthless as them when it comes to saving this country, the only way we will survive is to eliminate those who want to eliminate us.
