...and what have you done with the person I thought you were?

laugh laugh laugh

How many have experienced that? Met this amazing person and somewhere down the track, boom! out comes the evil twin?

Who hasn't experienced that?

How can you spot the 'real' person in there?

I've seen people's true nature come out more often than I would like. I've been hurt so many times It's amazing I still trust people... I guess I'm just a sucker.

People put their best foot forward when meeting others, it takes time for the facade to fade. Then you see the good, as well as the bad. Very few people are secure enough (or confident enough) to show faults to others immediately.

I'm an idealist and wish it was different, but I'm enough of a realist to understand this and prepare accordingly... at least then I'll be pleasantly surprised, rather than disappointed.

Yes, everyone puts their best foot forward, human nature. But, the thing is, at least I realize no one's perfect and everyone has faults, quirks, whatever. But, it's the ones who are so dishonest from the outset that it's like Jekyll and Hyde that I wonder about. Me, I'll give you a list of every single one of my faults, right at the outset if you want. I know them only too well bigsmile

i have a feeling we are all just mirrors.flowerforyou

some are harder to look in than others.

locking each other into a box of images we have built will certainly prove this point as well....

personally i find that the people that push my buttons the most are my best teachersbigsmile

I agree...when you 'design' the person to fit the image of them that you want them to be...when you see them as you want them to be...and forget to allow them all of them...the 'evil' twin scenario appears.

There has been no jekyl and hyde..none...only perhaps within one's own thinking.

Hence the Op question..what have you done with the person I thought you were?

They are amazing people...they are their evil twin...we aren't one dimensional cardboard cutouts...we are so much more than that.

I know I have forgotten this in the past.

Created a persona I would like the other to wear, then tried to hold them accountable for my delusion, when they showed themselves as much more than that.

Mirrors...yes. Push hands...yes.

I have gone through that too. That's why she is my soon to be ex. I moved in with her and her Two kids a month before the wedding, which might have been a mistake, I don't know, then things started to change. I admit that I was partially the problem, but, she did start wanting to change me. Telling me where I could and couldn't go, when I could and couldn't leave. I better stop there because every time I start thing about on how it was her fault and mine combined it pulls me down and I still got to go to work . As a matter of fact I should have left Ten minutes ago.

LOL Hummm hear ya on this one it does happen a lot of times. Funny how when a certain thing happens all of a sudden you wonder as you look around were did that out burst come from lmao.

Or they right off the bat start talking about being open and how important communcation is. Then you find out later they really don't know how to be as open as you expected them to be. For there version of being honest and open is totaly different then you see it should be.

Oh they are being on there perfect behavior and when they let there gurad down makes ya wonder were did this come from lol.

I think at times it is too funny for the way some see me is one side but I have tried to tell them hey I have the B**** side too just like anyone else. I have a voice and will use it I don't need someone to stand up for me lol.

I have bad days just like anyone else. I have it on my profile I can either be your best friend in the world or I can be your worst nitemare it is up to you which one you chose for I try to treat others the way they treat me lol. Might not always work that way but I do try lol

But yeah most tend to put there good side out there for most to see.bigsmile bigsmile bigsmile bigsmile bigsmile bigsmile

I have a special TEST to KNOW for SURE if they have that evil

twin inside them,, IT HAS NEVER FAILED ,,,YET...

All ya need is a wooden armchair, ducttape, a stungun......

Set them in the chair and tape their hands and legs to the chair,, then start asking them to bring out the evil twin, and when THEY can't, ya ZAP THEIR AZZZ, and YOU keep on doing this until the twin comes out,,,anfd WOW,,,THEY ALL HAVE ONE...

Out of 97 women who have been put through my TEST,,,,,,,,
"THEY HAVE "ALL" HAD THAT EVIL TWIN INSIDE THEM"!!!!!

WHO WOULD HAVE "EVER" GUESSED??????

I keep my evil twin at bay with copious amounts of chocolate ... is 8:30 am too early to start? bigsmile

We are ALLl the colours, ALL the textures, light and shadow. In art there is no form without light AND shadow...without shadow the image is flat...yet, in life, we try to hide it ... ignore it ... bury it ... afraid that if people saw it they would run...

It is our humanness that gets offended... it is our humanness that gets hurt ... our ego ... the 'who' of us is the ghost in the machine...the observer ... not the judger ... and it is perfectly intact.

We get all twisted by other people's perceptions of us ... but really what else is there? Do I exist at all without you perceiving me in some way? And is your perception of me any of my business at all? The me you see is your own reflection. The ones who push our buttons do so because we have allowed them to get close enough to find the wound.

Some pour salt and it stings. But they show us the existence of the button. Only with awareness can it be examined. Others see the wound and apply balm. Both are valid.

As for the real person in here ... she is evolving ... that is all I know for sure...
