Its EuroTIME!!!! NU2, your views are absolutely astounding. How can a country that is only 231 years old have deep roots? All your roots are European based. Try looking at Ireland or Italy ... now they have deep roots .. actually they extended the roots to include New York. The dual address thing is forced upon us, as there are only two options. US or Canada. Seeing as the only zip code I knew was from a 1980s kids program about a bunch of delinquent high school kids in Beverley Hills thats how I put in my zipcode 90210. I put in the dual addresses so that people understand that I am not actually from the US! Nation's highest office .. I think 95% of Brits would know where ours is ... just in case, for those who are not sure its 10 Downing Street London SW1A 2AA Fanta ... The step child thing is bollocks!! How can a country made up from other peoples population father anything? You have never been an empire, you have never taken over responsibility for another country's administration. You invade places and then get your butt kicked! The US is the grandchild of Europe. All brash and full of piss and vinegar. 15% of your population has no passport. That would worry me. You then go on to espouse how wonderful it is that xenophobia or ignorance has not touched 58 million people! The major problem is that the reason the US gets a kicking at every turn is that you hold it up to be the best. When it clearly isnt. I balance my kickings of the UK. I know we are a long way from even being close to perfect. Europe too, gets a Dunky-kicking. But we are swamped with US propaganda about the greatness of your country. Then when you screw up, which all govts do, you still try and hide it! Thats why you get a regular kicking, because you ask for it. |
