Topic: Please forgive me... | |
---|---|
Dear friends of J.S.H I have realized a sobering truth. I have on numerous occasions joined in on particular threads and participated in suggestive forums. these which had a sexual or provocative subject matter. I know better than to write certain things and act like it's okay or"funny" when really I am marring any witness I might have had here. I am ashamed for acting out of character and also for not being more proactive for Jesus. instead I've wasted a vast amount of time on nonsensical things. please forgive my poor representation as a child of God.And pray for me .
I am trying to get back to where I once was in the Lord now; and only today did I realize just how far I'd fallen. Again I am very sorry. Robert |

Romans 3:23
"For ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God". Pretty impressed that you own your mistake. Good measure of honor. Not many men will do that. Know you are an exception! We all have sinned, but not many will repent and become better people! God bless you in all that you do! Psalm 91 Angela |

For me, in my beliefs, an action (word, thought, deed) is only "wrong" if it is harmful to someone- including yourself.
So if you feel you have harmed someone then it is great that you realized it and made amends... to me it sounds like the harm was to yourself because you are not comfortable with your actions- they were not true to the person you want to be. I hope you forgive youself. I will certainly pray for strength and clarity for you that you may act in a manner more in keeping with your beliefs and true nature. |

hey Bob, nice to see you here, in the 'bottom' levels of the community. lol!
It sounds like you've been introspective lately. We tend to be rather hard on ourselves when we turn inward. Take strength from your own ability to see who you were, where you were, assess it and change it for the good. I think it's necessary for everyone to take refuge inward from time to time, so it's a good idea to clean house whenever we get the chance. The great thing about having the hope of tomorrow, is knowing you can be better in it and it will be better for you. |

Hi Robert, I just joined this site and I just want to say that it takes a real man to say I am sorry for anything and to ask for forgiveness. This is a very admirable character. God loves it when we peel away our layers and come before him naked, it is at these times that God begins to move through us. Keep hungering and thirsting for righteousness, one day if you don't give up you will achieve the fullness of the God head and the power of God will eradicate all areas in which you desire changes.

Novise has said it perfectly. We all fall short of God's grace, and it is a beautiful thing that you want to please Him. As a Christian, I also have not been a very good witness with a lot of the things I've said in some of these forums. It takes a real man (or woman) to humble themselves before God and admit their faults and then work to go in a more positive direction and grow in their relationship with their creator. I admire you very much for your honesty and openness.

As long as you believe that is all that matters, we all stumble, we all fall and lose sight of our paths, but keeping the heart pure for Him is all he asks... He accepts us shortcomings and all... so please don't get down on yourself... there is only one judge...
