Topic: Why do People Vote Against Freedom?

If that's what you wanna think.........but you still are totally clueless. Oh well....hope you enjoy your "freedom" when it's all gone.

Oh and PS.....people STILL get in trouble for speaking on certain topics.....or showing interest in certain things......so you're wrong there too. Like I said educate yourself before you speak, otherwise you just are making yourself sound really ignorant.

When one calls another person clueless or ignorant, one is engaging in ad hominem. Doing so reveals that one is unable to make a good counter-argument to another person's argument.

Except I can......and I and others HAVE done so on this thread. I am simply calling it as I see it, and as I (and several others here) see it she IS unaware. Just cause I am calling her on it doesn't mean I can't argue against her. You assume something when you make a blanket statement like that that isn't always true, and you know what they say about assumptions.......

haaaaaa

irony,,,,thats a good question for anyone in this subject thread,,,,laugh

"Irony" in itself is not a question. It makes no sense to me.

Ironically, and although I consider myself a reasonable duck, I don't understand...

What was the question again?

One of us must be arguing (dishonourable) non-sense.

I don't know what to say...maybe we should ask Massa to tell us what to do about it...Obviously we have to do something. We can't seem to stop arguing and that cuts into our cane-cuttin' production quota and is gonna make him mad enough to whup us.

Frederick Douglass learned that there Consequences to listening and not listening to the advice of others.

In his Autobios, the Advice he often got from other Slaves was that Running Away wasn't a Good Thing because Only Master Could Provide; he rejected that advice, and we all give thanks that he did.

He was told Not to Name Names in his First Autobio, he did and had to Flee to England to remain Free, from where his Freedom was bought and he was given the money to start his own Paper; against the advise of his Fellow Abolitionist.

He was advised to "Trust the Better Educated Abolitionist", even that of the Black Abolitionist who Grew Up in the North and attended the Universities; he Turned Down that Advice and became one of the Most Powerful Advocates Against Slavery & Jim Crow.

There were times he paid a steep and painful price for Not Listening to the Advice given by others, even lost some Dear Friends over it; But he Moved Mountains by Deciding for Himself how to Live His Own Life.

One thing about Douglass, he made a lot of Abolitions upset with him because he would speak out against their "Now, Now Little Runaway, You Just Sit Back and Let Us Take Care of You" attitude; the same sort of attitude that's behind today's Welfare & Nanny State.

Because Douglass was his own man, many Abolitionists Mock, Ridiculed, Belittled and made Fun of the him; as I look around, the only Douglass-Like Men I see Standing out in the Black Community are Herman Cain and Dr. Ben Carson along with a few others, and they're getting the same Treatment.

It is amazing what one learns from Reading Books; Life & Times of Frederick Douglass, by Frederick Douglass is less than a $1 as a E-Book and well worth the read; if more Blacks would Read Douglass, and Booker T. Washington, the Jessie Jacksons and Al Sharptons of the world would be Ignored.

My point was. I don't have to claim to be anything other than myself and my experience to see liberals love being boxed in and are of the gibzmedat culture.

That's why I say, only property owners, the ones who actually have something to lose, be allowed to vote. The gibzmedats should just sit on the sideline and wait fer they freebies.

atually, quite a few bigots dont like jackson, or sharpton, or farrakhan or anyone else that speaks honestly about racism and injustice in amaerica

most bigots like for people to sweep racism under the rug and never bring it up or talk about it,,, and label anyone who does the bigot

its reverse pyschology,,,,

,,,on a logical note,, no man is perfect, and some people can hear truth and give credit where credit is due, without ie habing to be about 'liking' or disliking a person,,,especially people they dont even know on any kind of personal level,,,

People do read about frederick douglas and some people do 'ignore' jessie jackson and al sharpton

however, others realize that even all three of these different men would have agreed on some things,, and choose to listen to what makes sense and discard the rest, regardless of who is speaking,,,,
......and doing about the worst possible service for those they claim they're speaking for!

there is a difference between speaking 'for' and speaking 'about'

most people speak for themself, some people try to represent others who have less power or less of a voice,,,

A lot of folks speak for THEMSELVES.
Some, like jackson, fairycan and sharpton are attension hos.

who are in the media less than the kardashians or jstin bieber,,,,,frustrated frustrated

but they are a safe go to when people just need to come up with some semi well known minority to hate,,,,

Jesse, sharpie, shabitch, fairycan be hatin' mo than anyone I seen on tv or other media in a long times.

whoa whoa

someone must not really pay much attention to media or tv,,,

2. “If you feed them, if you feed the children, three square meals a day during the school year, how can you expect them to feed themselves in the summer? Wanton little waifs and serfs dependent on the State. Pure and simple.”

let the children starve so people arent forced to feed them with taxes,,,forcing them is much worse than starving children

but thats not hateful,,,,spock

A Very Wise Man Once Said to his Son; Hunger is a Good Thing, it Teaches the Lazy to Work.

He wasn't talking about Starvation, or Enslaving People, or anything Else that we would consider Evil; it was a Proverb that I learned to be true when I was sent to live with Reletives in Very Rural Mexico where Lights & Plumbing were on the Rich Side of Town and one of my chores was to bring water up from the stream for household needs, like Cooking. Anyone knows how heavy water is when carrying two One Gallion Buckets uphill for about a 1/4 mile?

There were times he paid a steep and painful price for Not Listening to the Advice given by others, even lost some Dear Friends over it; But he Moved Mountains by Deciding for Himself how to Live His Own Life.

and?

what has this to do with being against feeding CHILDREN who are going to school ?

rape made me more of a fighter too,, so should I go around promoting the idea that women should experience rape or else they will be weak?

someone provides food for children, they really dont care who,, whether it is money from government or a job,,,,,they learn to work by being taught to WORK,, not by not feeding them,,,

People vote against freedom because they prefer being told what to do by people they don't like and don't respect either because they think there's something in it for them, because they never grew up enough to parent themselves, or because slavery is all they've ever known and they fear the vast and unknown expanse called liberty.
