I did do the free quote and the cheapeast was like $192 you paid you own doctor visit or they only paid 25% of it and you paid the rest..

The one that has the same coverage as I have at work was $499 a month...

Why would they not pay they would actually be making more money since more company's would have to provide it for the employees?

The issue I would have is for those that don't get covered and if they have to pay for not having insurance.

We love millionaires who throw, kick, and bounce balls
We love millionaires who pretend to be someone in movies
We love millionaires who play guitars, sing, and dance
We love millionaires who talk on late night TV
We love millionaires who controll our lives in government
We hate millionaires who create jobs

I just don't understand it.

I dont hate millionaires at all

I just dont emphasize with greed....

Yeah, they were talking about that on Bill Mahr. I guess "Papa John" said that he'd have to add 15 cents to a cost of a pizza to cover the cost of health insurance for his employees.

I don't know about you all, but, as little pizza as I eat, I think I could cough up a dime and nickel to help the kitchen staff.

And yet, they're deciding to reduce employees hours so they don't have to pay for health insurance?

Anyone can goto Esurance.com and get full plans for like $50.00 a month. Everyone wants a handout. If you don't like the fact your employer doesn't offer benefits or the benefits you want find another job.

Hummm you might find auto insurance for that amount but not health insurance your looking at around $400- $500 a month just for one... and that is from Esurance...

I am paying $60.00.

And that includes more than just basic coverage (major accidents/surgeries)? Regular doctor visits, preventative care, prescriptions and so on? I'm betting it's a huge deductible.

Successful companies reducing their employees' hours so they don't have to provide health insurance? Sounds like greedy employers not wanting to provide what they should to their employees.

the stench is strong from bs mountain, isnt it?

how likely is it that megamillion corps like applebees or papa johns couldnt afford a dollar more per hour for full time employees to pay the 'fine' of not offering the coverage?

we get similar tantrum like backlash whenever minimum wage is raised,, but we keep surviving,,,,,

How is not giving them a 20-50% pay raise even if it did only cost $1 an hour not affordable? Well if you owned a company and the government said you had to give a 20-50% pay raise to all full time employees I bet you would lay them off and take in more part timers too.

To be fair I couldn't. I have had a pre existing condition since I was 8. Then again I based my career choice with the knowledge that I need a company to provide medical insurance.

I would like to see some greedy over paid executive fix and run his equipment with a talent pool of the underpaid workers he desires so he can have a ten thousand dollar shower curtain. The reason they are going to close their doors is because they open one on every street corner. When you disrespect the people who are working hard for you, you get what you deserve. You should want employee's to be able to go to the dr.s to stay healthy to help you run your biz right. Good help equals a very well run company.

That was done before oBambytax was voted in.

If you know what's in the tax bill, tell Congress. They haven't even read it yet.

If it adversely affects businesses or franchises, repeal the tax.

Put the lazy libs to work and get them off welfare.
So are you saying only liberals are on welfare? Only conserveatives work hard?

Yep, I agree. Its just a greedy tantrum. The greedy employers would have you think that you are taking food from the mouths of their babies when you tell them to raise wages or provide health care insurance for employees.

So they have a tantrum and blame it on Obama or some other thing they don't like.

If employers would think of their employees as if they were family or their own children, maybe they would not be so greedy.

What the world needs is more love.

What does working hard have to do with anything? I don't work hard and make good money. Lots of people work way harder than me and dont make half of what I make. How hard you work is relatively irrelevant.

I never get the jokes in really old movies they are so dated so I do not even feel bad for "not getting it" whatever it may be.

Instead of cutting employee's healthcare benefits, maybe Papa Johns should stop giving away free pizzas.
