9/11: Explosive Evidence - Experts Speak Out" is getting public attention and casting doubt on the scientific validity of the U.S. government's investigation into the WTC tragedy. PBS is the first major network to air the program. Just days away from the 11th anniversary of the World Trade Center tragedy and months away from the U.S. presidential election, a game-changing 9/11 documentary is ranking number three among "most watched" documentaries on PBS and number one among "most shared." Available for free online August 18th - September 4th, the documentary could have a significant effect on public opinion. [Update: PBS has extended viewing indefinitely.] Both the Republicans and Democrats, as equally staunch defenders of the official story, stand to be affected if the public's suspicion of government corruption grows deeper. An earlier report on Digital Journal found that the claims made in the documentary can be verified by reading the government reports themselves. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the government agency charged with the investigation, did not provide any data -- no measurements or estimates -- of the mass or energy that would be required to bring down the buildings in about ten seconds. Normally a scientific report would present all the data that is used to construct a theory. The omission of data is a red flag to anyone familiar with scientific procedure. It appears that the investigators may have intentionally produced reports that the scientific community would reject. According to the experts appearing in Explosive Evidence, the scientific community did reject the reports immediately, but it has taken a very long time for this message to reach the public. Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, the producers of the documentary, have been trying to educate the public for a number of years. The PBS broadcast of their work represents a major step forward for them. While most people have probably heard that a scientific investigation has been conducted and that the building collapses were explained, few have probably looked at the NIST reports themselves. Links to the NIST reports can be found in the above mentioned Digital Journal article. NIST provides no data whatsoever on the actual collapse sequence itself. The new attention to the issue could be significant for the U.S. presidential election. Prior to the publication of the reports in 2005 and 2008, almost half the population was suspicious of the official story of 9/11, according to several opinion polls. Since then the 9/11 tragedy has been used to direct the policies that have led to the enormous increases in military spending and to a loss of civil liberties in the U.S. and worldwide. Even the authors of the 911 report claim it was based on lies they were told. I am not impressed with your arguments for the official version of 911, talk about puppets The facts are even the authors of the 911 report claim they were lied to at every level. No need to get sidetracked at all. This in of itself is damning enough let alone all the other absurdities we are expected to believe. Clearly logic and reason are on the side of the "truthers"

Everyone knows the goverment lies, except when the lies are against those one despises, then the goverment suddenly become barers of truth. Truth is taboo in Washington, always has, always will.

I think the line that fits here the best is ... "consider the source". BTW for the quadrillionth time, the government did not provide the details of the report of the twin towers falling, the ASCE Structural Division did. And yes they did a collapse sequence that was not added to the official report because there was no reason to do so. There still isn't.

Weither what position one chooses to believe, "truthers" or the "official" version of events, one thing is for certain, we men, WE LIE! Just ask any woman. And considering our goverments good ole boys club are men, I think its safe to say "truth" is not an option. Since when does goverment speak or tell the truth? NEVER!!!

Lying is not very effective in a country like the US with open press and freedom of the press because various news organizations will fact check and criticize propaganda and reveal poor journalism and outright lies. So yeah...in the US it is not such a big problem as it is in other countries where the news organizations are only mouthpieces of the prevailing regime.

So yeah...in the US it is not such a big problem as it is in other countries where the news organizations are only mouthpieces of the prevailing regime. "in the US it is NOT SUCH A BIG PROBLEM" sounds like a problem to me as it clearly suggests lying. What other countries do is their business, we dont live in other countries. As for media, all media in the US lie just as much as others, we are not exempt from lying. No Empire can function without it. And there are well documented cases of historical and current cases of goverment coverups, lying and corruption. When NSA says kill a story, it dead on arrival. The rest suggesting moral integrity is mere wishfull thinking and illusions. Afterall, we are a Christian nation who believe in the devil, yet to distracted to realize the devil is man, and we all know the devil lies.

Lying is the most effective tactic to deception. We are far from angels. We are masters of deception only because the masses are in virtual mental slumber, denial, and a false sence of superiority. Rev 13: verse 18 this calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is mans number. His number is 666.

By the way people, get a clue, all American media are corporate sponsered or owned, which obviously means truth and integrity lie in the hands of profit geared influence, simply put, if a corparation supports a news agency, it also has rights as to what that media outlet is allowed to present to the public. Only media free of corporate controll are free to speak freely. If your news outlets depend on corporate sponsership, then you are not getting news, you are recieving corporate approved news that dont interfere with corporate interests. And we all know that major corporations also sponser politics and politicians. Therefore goverment does indeed control media.

A new movie on the President of the United States hit theaters just before the republican convention, Hollywood has always played its role at subliminal swaying of public opinon, perception and outlook. Hollywood is media as well, as they have the power of image, and we Americans love Hollywood.
