Responsibility! and Reality....
Remember when the achievements of others meant something?...Remember when the achievements of others were inspiring?...Remember when the achievements of others made us strive to make our own achievements?....What the h*ll happened? Today the very concept of achievement is down played, even attacked!...Following Obama's lead, Harvard professor Liz Warren who is currently running for Senator against Scott Brown, jumped on the bandwagon to down play achievement! ....From a recent speech Warren says, "There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own. Nobody! You build a factory out there, good for you, but I want to be clear. You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for...You hired workers that the rest of us paid to educate." STOP and THINK people...This is rhetoric in the 1st degree!...This is what she is really saying...PEOPLE WHO RUN BUSINESS ARE BENEFITING FROM THINGS PAID FOR BY OTHER PEOPLE! Like these same people didn't pay or aren't paying taxes!... We are currently in an economy when a small fraction of high-income taxpayers pay the vast majority of ALL taxes...To make the claim that high-income earners are being subsidized by "the rest of us" takes unmitigated gall....Warren even has a name for her claim....She calls it an "underlying social contract" ![]() ![]() ![]() The very concept of achievement is a threat to them...They label successful people as "the privileged" and it matters not one bit if those successful people started out poor or worked their way up the hard way... RESPONSIBILITY, whether for success or failure, is a threat to the "vision" of the left so they are pulling out all the stops to combat it by using rhetoric that is devoid of REALITY.... |

achievement is inspiring, ego is not
no man is an island, and the man who can ACHIEVE without tooting their own horn and even AKNOWLEDGING others who help them get there, is VERY INSPIRING,,, |

there is nothing mythical about the reality that it takes a VILLAGE, ,not just to raise a child, but to raise up a BUSINESS without the village,, you just will have a building that you have to lose or sell,,, WTF? a business man (or woman) puts in 100% of the effort. the "village" either patronizes the business or they don't. they have no interest in the welfare of the business, only the product/service the business provides. if the product/service becomes undesirable, the village doesn't band together to make sure the business survives, they patronize another business |

no you are wrong. who pays the builders, contractors, grant writers, road maintenance, etc,,
and once they have been paid, they dont put an effort into MAINTAINING unless they are paid again in some cases, the business can sell to people who are not local. and in some cases they don't sell locally at all try to start a business before you open your mouth. see how many people "contribute" and Im not sure which villages you are used to, but I have known MANY business that the neighborhood has supported BECAUSE they have become a part of the family and because of not just the products but often time the EMPLOYEES service,,,,,,,,, this has nothing to do with the start up. and many local businesses have had to close because the only people patronizing were locals with little expendable income |

Because of patrons stop SUPPORTING the services and products the business cant SUCCEED. and their 'support' is not always tied to how great a product or service is,, some people may not get supported because the community doesnt like THEM PERSONALLY and likewise, if the ommunity does like the person/people involved, they patronize and help make the business 'successful' |

the start up is on the business owner and his success depends on the effort he continues to put into the business, not the community. many businesses do well on start up and continue fine until the original owner passes the business on
the success of the business is on the business owner. the customers he has are because of him, and his product/service. some customers are loyal, but if his product/service suffers it's his fault, not the customer's. if a big company comes in that is backed by non local money, the small time business suffers, and could close. think walmart vs mom n pop |

starting up does not equal SUCCEEDING money changes hands, so whatyour argument hinges on the fact that money is changing hands the owner doesnt MAINTAIN unless he is continuing to turn profit either,, that has nothing to do with the point that noone SNEEZES out success by THEMSELF,,,,unless the business has investors who are working there, the business hinges on the one person who is putting up the time, effort and the money why does boycotting have an impact? I assure you Im thinking and Im referring to the topic of 'success',, plenty of businesses 'start up' but far fewer succeed well start up, and success are credited to the business owner, and they should be. i have never seen a customer (or a group of customers) take credit for opening a business for a business owner, and take credit for keeping it successful for him |

Don't ya'll make me get all
How many times I got ta tells ya'll. In an honest society, only those what contributes eats. It's one thang if'n a person cain't contribute and a whole 'nuther story when they won't be a gear that runs the machine. Them's that won't and feels like they "special",needs ta' be on their own. I tried speaking plain english and it didn't get through some thick heads so, I broke out my accent, ya'll. Now, I got to go wash the dog. ![]() |

American Politics is at the 4th grade education level with fancy words. We are run by an I, ME, MINE culture and power is everything to most people. Misery is the stuff of elections. The Democratic party feeds off of it more than the Republican party but both sides share guilt in the practice.
Obama sucks balls for his super poor performance and his lack of understanding for the little guy. All of his plans did not benefit common taxpayers. Sad but the two party system is a failure like Communism! |
