perhaps this is a reflection of why employment is so awful apparently employees really do mean squat to business owners who are offended they should be given any aknowledgement in their success but want them to work their behinds off to ensure it when they are there,,,, Employment is awful because we have a president who refuses to address the problem....Well, in his defense, it could be because he doesn't know how to address the problem... perspective I guess it started going down hill before he entered,,jobs have been saved and lost in the cycle that followed, but just not FAST enough for somes personal taste,,, The only jobs that were "saved" were the ones the taxpayers bought for 852 Billion dollars.... ![]() |

IMO, Michell's a barker. ......................................................... I would dare to bet, you can find posts from more folks who say Hussein is a screw up than about singing his praises. |

in google, check why OBAMA should be reelected,,,got 1 million 720 thousand results
check why obama should NOT be reelected, got 483,000 results take into account this is one way to ask about an OPINION about his presidency, there are dozens more ways to word the question that would cede a different count and then, there is the unknown factor of how many people with opinions dont bother to post them anywhere or be questioned in polls,,, it would be a difficult wager to win or lose without more precise boundaries,,,, |

it wont let be link the goodle search I have done it several times in the past few moments literally 'why obama should be reelected' in the google search engine and then including the word 'not' 'why obama should not be reelected' in the same search engine That's OK...It's just as I thought...Not current.....Doubt if the numbers would reflect the same now and I question their accuracy, not your honesty, their accuracy...Really depends on where they came from ya know...It will take a few weeks to calculate what exactly this latest mistake did to his favorable ratings, especially job ratings which were already lagging behind Romney's..... Probably going to cost him some votes.....I have not owned and operated my business for 22 years and I know how hard his words hit me...I can only imagine how struggling business owners felt when they heard him... |

why obama should be reelected
About 7,600,000 results (0.11 seconds) why obama should not be reelected About 40,100,000 results (0.23 seconds) the url code contains %20 in the address. every time i've tried to post a link or picture and %20 or a curse word is in the address, it won't work. (mingle2 changes the curse word to **** so the address isn't good) |

I just want Romney to say more than "I have a 19 step plan." Well, what does it involve, what are the steps. Give me a reason to vote, geez.
As far as the President, he is just slinging mud and Holder challenging voter id laws is ticking me off big time. Texas law has provision for FREE voter id's if the person can't pay. I agree the course needs correcting, but I need someone with a solid plan to do it. Otherwise I'll stick with what we got, since we know it's a socialist agenda maybe we can delay it in Congress or something. |

I think romney SOUNDS like someone from a prominent family who has very little touch with the average joe who is working hard for everything they get,,, its not just because he IS from that type of family, but his experiences and his views make me believe that he thinks EVERYONE is,,,and if they arent its too bad and they should just be grateful for their crumbs,,,lol ,,but thats just how he SOUNDS to me,,, although I would have voted for his Romneycare had I lived in his state On April 12, 2006, the governor signed the resulting Massachusetts health reform law, commonly called "Romneycare", which requires nearly all Massachusetts residents to buy health insurance coverage or face escalating tax penalties, such as the loss of their personal income tax exemption.[178] The bill also establishes means-tested state subsidies for people who do not have adequate employer insurance and whose income is below a threshold, with funds that were previously used to compensate for the health costs of the uninsured.[179][180][181] He vetoed eight sections of the health care legislation, including a controversial $295-per-employee assessment on businesses that do not offer health insurance and provisions guaranteeing dental benefits to Medicaid recipients.[178][182] The legislature overrode all eight vetoes, but the governor's office said the differences were not essential.[182] The law was the first of its kind in the nation and became the signature achievement of Romney's term in office.[ ..sounds vaguely familiar even,,,lol |

I hear what you are saying Hippy, but totally disagree with your reasoning to "keep what we got"...It's scary because it doesn't make sense to keep what you already know isn't working...Four years might not have been enough time to fix everything, but it was enought to get a leg up...He didn't...and now we are azzhole deep in debt with nothing to show for it....Health reform is a joke and will never happen without a complete overhaul...Here is what I posted to MG yesterday...It's on page 5 of this thread if you want to read whole conversation (what MG said).... Whew!! The upcoming election is not a lost cause, it's a game changer and I'll tell you why...If Obama is re-elected rather than do what's needed to fix problems he will continue to throw money at them...Won't work and will result in the country going broke or his impeachment...If Romney is elected nothing will happen...Health care reform will be repealed or completely overhauled and GOP will maintain their status quo for the next four years because Romney will also be a one term president....The absolute best scenario is for Romney to be elected because sitting still is way better than falling even further behind if Obama is re-elected.... The US in in sync with the world economy...It just seems like we aren't because other countries are fast forwarding to catch up...This is not a bad thing Michael...US is still the power country and we still lead in technology, that's why China steals R&D from us and not other countries...Even though the gap is narrowing as more countries play catch up, they will never have the "complete" package America has and they know it...Since a world economy is inevitable we must strive for and achieve world peace... Education....This is a real problem and one that will not be easily fixed....Money alone has not and will not solve it ...Worldwide, the US ranks #1 in spending per student, yet we rank 21st in graduating our high school students, 25th in math, and 21st in science....Education involves much more than money...It involves the student, the family unit, the community, the teachers, the Board of ED...You can't fix a whole problem by focusing on only one part.... |

I personally believe its our 'culture'
not our spending total spending has increased many times when other parts of our culture have improved,, there isnt the direct correlation that is often presented in political speak,,, |

thought I posted this,, and I guess I Did, but here is some information about our ranking and our spending
National panic ensued last December when data from the Program for International Student Assessment tests revealed our less than stellar international math results. Even worse, high schoolers from our competitor du jour, China, scored the top spot. But the report's author, Tom Loveless, writes that, "The United States never led the world. It was never number one and has never been close to number one on international math tests. Or on science tests, for that matter." Back in 1964, American 13-year-olds took the First International Math Study and ended up ranking in 11th place. Considering that only 12 nations participated, including Australia, Finland, and Japan, our next-to-last performance was pretty abysmal. Other international tests American students have taken over the years have also never showed that we were in the top spot. It's a myth that we've fallen from our glory days. http://www.good.is/post/debunking-education-myths-america-s-never-been-number-one-in-math/ in 1992 we spent 2.3 trill with a 290 bill deficit in 1996, 2.7 trill with a 107 billion deficit (increased spending but less deficit,, BETTER BUDGETING) in 2000, 3.2 trill with a SURPLUS of 236 billion in 2004, 4.1 trill with a 412 billion dolar deficit in 2008, 5.3 trill with a 458 billion dollar deficit and in 2012, 6.2 trill with a 1.3 trillion deficit http://www.usgovernmentspending.com/year_spending_2012USbt_13bs1n_G0G2#usgs302 so the average trend over the past twenty years, including the year with a SURPLUS was 6.2-2.3 = 3.9 trill/20= 195 bill per year increase in spending or 195*4= 780 billion per presidential term the rate of increase is not the problem the problem is declining revenue along WITH a rate of increase,,,or simply put BAD BUGETING but noone wants to look at how to generate more revenue to offset debt, only how to cut more spending,,,when it should honestly be some combination of both,,,, |
