Topic: 50 reasons to be ashamed (and not a fan) of Jesus | |
---|---|
Oh but that is where you are mistaken. I have met Jesus, he walks beside me everyday. I speak to him, he speaks to me. Cowboy for the fact that yet have admitted here in the forum to "intentionally sinning" is an indication that you have place your love for the sins of the flesh above the love of Jesus ...so you might claim to be a Christian...but you don't fit the criteria to be one of the disciples of Jesus because you love sin more than Jesus but are you sure that it was Jesus that you met? or was someone pulling the same trick on you that they pulled on Adam and Eve or as Uncle Scrooge suggested that it could have been an hallucination brought on by an undigested piece of meat and if you met and walked with Jesus then you clearly had to see him..unless of course you two were walking and talking in the dark...but if not... then can you describe how Jesus looked beyond a concept without sounding delusional? No, I just get weak at times and Jesus is right behind me to correct me. He then pushes me into repentance of that sin which I did. And with repentance, I no longer continue doing that sin in question. Life is for learning and growing. |

People don't have the right to tell another how they should live their lives. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Tell that to the christian missionaries. Christian missionaries are merely spreading the gospel. They do not say you will be condemned if you do not believe as we. They do not say believe or you will be killed. They merely again, spread the gospel on a large range of people. And if they do say this, they are not doing as Christians are to do, they are just as much in the wrong as the one not believing. "Judge not, less ye be judged". Take it as you wish. But in this forum for instance, spreading the gospel is not specifically that. It is sharing one's own beliefs, what one has put their faith in. Again, getting to know one another on a deeper level then "Hi, my name .....". And it's not about "throwing any bait" out there. It's about sharing and enlightening of the good news. And just because one believes in Jesus, believes and has said his is their savior, and that he is the only way to eternal life, does not mean they are "throwing bait" out. Just again sharing one's belief and enlightening someone of what they believe to be true. Why take it so personal when someone says that they believe Jesus to be the promised messiah, the only path to eternal life, ect. Do you think we as Christians take it as a personal insult when the teachers are teaching our children about the "big bang theory" or any other number of possible different creation stories? No, so why should they? |

Jesus taught us to love one another, which is an indication that those that come to Jesus are those that do not know love....Jesus didn't teach anyone to love Jesus commanded you to love ..but you can not be one of his disciples if you love anyone above him ...which in turn deem Love to be meaningless imagine telling your kids that you love someone more than you love them ...is telling a child this Love?...or is it Hate? Do you think love is a competition? See who can get who to love who most? Please Funches, that's elementary right there. Love is to be shared with everyone. There is no such thing as loving "more". It's either there, or it's not. No fine lines. There is no "well I love her with 40% of my heart, but I love this other one with 60%. You either love and care for someone or you don't. Mark 12:28-31 28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? 29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. |

For again I've told you Jesus walks beside us, he talks to us, he helps us. But still, there is no competition. Jesus tells us to love him, yes. But that is only because he wants a relationship with us. There is no relationship if only he loves us but not us him. |

And there is no "intervening". Intervene - Come between so as to prevent or alter a result or course of events. Jesus can not be seen as "intervening" as we have free will. Jesus doesn't alter anything unless one asks for it. If one asks for it, it's not intervening for again the person asked for it, it's a gift. Jesus forces himself on no one, it is by one's own choice to come to him. Which again, is not intervening. |

Jesus "walks" beside me, but from time to time I need a little push into the right direction. Again, no intervening. He takes no free will away, I pray for strenght and guidance, and he gives. I know it's God, cause I can feel it in my heart. |

I know it's God, cause I can feel it in my heart. your heart has been wrong many times in this forum... so if that is your only proof... then it's was most likely Satan that you were walking and talking with when you saw Jesus...did he have horns? |

The idea that an imaginary friend walks beside us and talks to us is classified as a Psychosis.... an entire imaginary, delusional belief system |

They still have the choice. Jesus just works with their conscience to try and sway away from whatever the action may or may not be. But God doesn't "possess" the person so to speak and make them not do the action(s). There's where the line for free will lays. It's still the person's choice to do or not do the action in question. Someone/something persuading one to do or not do, does not interfere with free will, it's called guidance. So no, there is no Cowboy 1, Cowboy 2, ect.. just your missunderstanding and wishing to cause a disturbance. Much love to you my friend. |

People don't have the right to tell another how they should live their lives. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Tell that to the christian missionaries. there is good and bad in all things... atheists preach just as much, if not more. when a born again christian preaches to me, i just walk away... it's what they do, and i understand that. i may be athiest or agnostic, but I have no need to tell others they are wrong for believing in what they believe in. |
