I think it was Edgar Winter in the late sixties, before he was famous.

First concert was Nazareth , with Rush opening , at Massey Hall in Toronto... my middle brother owed me a favor so him and his buddy took me to see them... mmmmm 1972-'73 ??... can't remember the specific date ...
starting working full time and saw tonnes of live acts, Queen, Beach Boys, Springsteen, The Who, KISS, Steve Miller... BEST show live EVER ?? you are not gonna believe this but ABBA at the old Maple Leaf Gardens, with a west coast band , Powder Blues opened .... AWESOME ... |

First one was a Canadian band, called Platinum Blonde,
just before they hit it big. This was in 1984. I hadn't even turned 12 yet. Went with three cousin's of mine in Lindsay, Ontario. |

The first real concert worth mentioning was Robbie William's "Take the Crown" last July. Seeing Robbie in the flesh, wow! I mean, Robbie!!! Still excited about it, haha

1982 I saw the Rollingstones at Wembley stadium supported by the J Geils band. Tickets were £12. I think you can add a 0 on that price now. They were brilliant but I got de-hydrated so my friend gave me cider. Great move. B-)

Ted Nugent in the early 80's When he cared more about his guitar than his whack job politics!

U2 in 1987, The Stone Roses in 1989, but the best band that i've seen live was The Prodigy. Saw them 5 times live now. It's usually music festivals I go to now in Scotland, like T in the park and Rock Ness.

Metallica was the first national act I'd ever seen. Free concert in a stadium parking lot in Philly. Spent the whole time as a hoist for random woman who wanted up on my shoulders.
I got to see some really cool acts for free at penns landing after that. Peter Frampton,ZZtop, Earth, wind and fire. And then Ozfest one year I went hoping to see the original members of black sabbath instead I got to see Rob Halford taking Ozzy's part with the original members of sabbath cause Ozzy couldn't make it for one reason or another. I did get to see all of Judas Priest and Slayer at that same show was awesome. |

Queen in 1982 at Elland Road, Leeds Not like anything on this earth.
Awesome, Freddie was on top form. The support was Heart, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and Teardrop Explodes. My mate turned round to me at the end and said simply. Follow That, You can't!! |
