The Moody Blues in 1979 with my Mom and dad & sis
at the old Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver. I was 12. We were Gests and had back stage passes. one of my Moms longest friends married lead singer & guitarist Justin Hayward. My mom Marie and another gf Pat attended a girls Catholic school in Liverpool and had passes for the Cavern and would watch the Beatles in 1962 as they were just starting..love me do Marie did date George Harrison for a wile but split when the Beatles went to Hamburg Germany for a while. Marie & Justin are still Happily married since '71 but the moody's still love the road. mom stayed with her in England but it take 30 minutes to secure the 'house' to go anywhere. so she admits its not that glamorous. My first on my own was Toronto & Goto in '80 |

Mine was 1977. I was 11. I went to Taylor County Collesium (Abilene Texas) It was Ted Nugent's "Cat Scratch Fever" tour. My brother and his friends got high...(I didn't know how to do that yet) They were 16. Then we went in and it started. I was up against the stage. Two really cool dudes rom the airforce picked me up and held me up for most of the show. It was a milestone in my life. It was a great time. I also got to see KISS, RUSH, ZZ TOP and AC/DC, (they all played once a year)...plus Metallica (...and Justice for All), Big Country, Duran Duran back in those day....... That was back when I was a kid. Who did you go see? Slayer was the headliner act, but there were several other bands there that I forget. It was at Club Rio. Kerry King is scarier in person, I promise. Club Rio is/was an awesome venue, liked it much better than crap assed crappy crap crap crap Marquee. Nothing beats the Rialto for gigs though. |

The Kinks. Can't really remember the year...... I seen them in 84 "word of mouth tour but they had a huge album in 83 with come dancing got pretty drunk and was right at the front when someone got sick and the crowd parted I dash through the puke to the front. YES |

U2 and it was ridiculous. standing only. im only 5'3. Sat on a guys shoulders the whole time and felt so sorry 4 him. how to get hour girlfriend fingerbanged at a concert? Put her on your shoulders..true Got kicked out of the concert in '92 it was the night Clinton become President elect as I remember they had a big area up stairs and I was watching it on tv and drinking those big beer while Living Colour way playing. U2 was good, I was on the floor and we were all standing on chairs and I was one the isle and smoked a bunch a weed, I hadn't smoked for years. we were all swaying with the music and the crowd sway kept causing me to step of the chair in the isle. Every 20 seconds so I got pissed off and refused to put my feet down again so my stubbornness just got me kicked out as I did a shoulder roll off the chair..lol It was cool, my buddy asked if I wanted to go to U2 as they were playing in Van,so I said hell yeah. He lived In this mid rise in Nanaimo on the water. That year only, they had a fast foot passenger ferry that departed right below his place and docked downtown Van in one hour. talk about last minute planing. He found me after the show with 60,000 people flooding out in to the streets...lol good times. |

Erm ok not cool but when you're 9 you don't get much choice - It was 'The new seekers' @ Oxford uk and I must admit they were dead good. I spent most of the evening training the binoculars on the blonde womans impressive statistics. :-)
