My brother had a Zach Galifinakis type beard, same color and craziness. Everyone said he looked just like him with it. People at the bar would even take pictures with him, it was at the height of "The Hangover". When he joined the Army he knew he would have to shave it off. We have a friend that can bearly grow peach fuzz at the age of 22. So, we had a wonderful "Locks of Love" type idea, and shaved my brothers beard to make one for our friend. He wore it to the bar on our night out before my brother left for basic. It was awesome.

You should find a serogate beard grower and make you one. Then you can have your own beard for when ever you want to touch it.

i've been asking people to send me their beards!
they all decline.
/:
perhaps they believe i'm going to make a voodoo doll or something.
pshhhh.

I sent mine!

those short and curly ones are from my face, I swear! laugh bigsmile pitchfork

Let's attempt to keep this on topic. Have you met anyone from here?

Hahaha Ya right, on topic.... good one rofl

I'm a friggin million miles away from everyone! noway

There are tons of other chatty threads to stay off topic in :). This is about whether people actually use this site to meet people or not.

Do you use this site or similar sites to actually meet people, or to just pass the time? If you find people you get along well with, either as friends or more, do you put the effort into actually meeting them in person?
My self i like to get to know a person really well before i meet a person and no i not really met anyone off of here in person yet i have talked to some cool friends in the past but this is a great site to relax in the forums too :) flowerforyou waving

I use this site to meet someone that I hope will develop into a relationship with.

Since becoming a member, I have been in email contact with quite a few men despite only having met one in person.

I only wish that guys from the UK would be a bit more pro-active and persevere with the site for longer :(

More proactive how?

How well do you need to get to know someone before you meet in person?

You have a problem with trying to keep a thread on topic? Yikes. Then by all means, stay off topic as much as you want if it makes you happy. whoa

I'm still pretty new to this site, but quickly finding out that it's no different from any other. There are local girls on here, but most don't seem to be that active. The ones that are active and have profiles that say they are looking to meet, are either looking for a quick hook-up, a perfect match, or a "generous" man to pay them for sexual favours. Girls send a flirt, or add me as a "favourite", but when I send them a message and actually try to talk to them, there is no reply. I don't understand why people just want to waste other people's time on sites like these. Why bother with sites like this if you're just going to be fake and immature and not want to meet people anyway? It doesn't make much sense at all.

They expect me to do all the work.

They view my profile about 5 times just in case I didn’t notice them the first, second, third or fourth time they viewed me...send a nudges, kisses or winks and nothing else and those that do send the “hi” email and I respond, I have to carry most of the conversation or else it just dies a death.

The best way to weed them out is the forums..you get to know people here and can tell if they are just passing time or are actively looking for a match.

I generally decide against dating most people after a few emails or phone calls and unfortuneately many my age have reputations that preceed them . Some by their own making if not here elsewhere. Some change their screen names, or status, even persona; like underwear: but few can radically change their appearance. I don't bother with anyone with out a photo, or for that mater several photos, so the pickings are very slim locally.

I generally have better luck dateing through referrals from friends.

The only thing that changes with the paid sites is the value of the real estate where they live. And maybe a higher incidence of old farts willing to pay for travel rather than get laughed at by the younger singles at the resorts or business conferences they go to as singles or wanna be singles who's wives look the other way when they don't push them to travel with them to have access to the credit cards.

I have met 7 people from mingle2 aka(just say hi) in person.

I have also met 3 people from Plenty Of Fish in person.

I have met 9 great people from both sites. I know this adds up to 10 people that I have met in person from both sites.

But meeting 9 great people out of 10 is not bad odds.

You meet a not so great of a person every now and then.

I actually fully intend to meet up with a friend I made. She's basically one of the coolest people I've talked to and we absolutely would need to hang out.
Given the resources, I'd go across the country... which is funny considering the people I'd never even considered crossing over a single state for.

So, just thought it should be known I'll be growing a beard.
You know, no real reason...
