People who don't use the forums don't seem to stay around too long on this site. Seems the general consensus is not many active members in everyone's area. I've met people from another unnamed site though... Yeah, I saw one or two people who seemed like they would be of interest in my area, but haven't since been on. Just glad to see they were off before I messaged them so it's not my doing... yet. Most of the people I'd chat much with didn't post here much.

I actually use the site more to pass time than anything. Not against meeting people though if the mood takes me. I have met people in the past and for the most part regretted most of them. And there are a couple of people now I would not mind meeting at some point or another. Time will tell.

Do you use this site or similar sites to actually meet people, or to just pass the time? If you find people you get along well with, either as friends or more, do you put the effort into actually meeting them in person? My self i like to get to know a person really well before i meet a person and no i not really met anyone off of here in person yet i have talked to some cool friends in the past but this is a great site to relax in the forums too :) How well do you need to get to know someone before you meet in person? well i would love to chat on phone with the person if its long distance i don't mind paying or local but really not sure lolllll depends on the person and if we both kind of hit it off as friends or more :) but i love chatting on phone or live in person more then a net but i also love meeting new friends too here :)

July of 2009, I did a 3 week cross country trip from Ohio to Idaho.. I met up with 7 people along the way.. All were very nice and a lot of fun.. One actually took me to Sturgis for 1/2 day at the very beginning of bike week.. I was in "heaven"! Last summer I was in Colorado and was supposed to meet up with "Tazztops" but I got sick when I first got there and then just ran out of time.. sorry..

I actually fully intend to meet up with a friend I made. She's basically one of the coolest people I've talked to and we absolutely would need to hang out. Given the resources, I'd go across the country... which is funny considering the people I'd never even considered crossing over a single state for. That's awesome. I hope you get the chance to meet her!

There are some from another site that it ended after a single date, but no regrets.

The problem for me is the local dating pool is slim here and other sites and I'm only interested in dating local. Back when MySpace was all the rage, I did meet a gal there and we were together for a year before she moved back to the mainland. With that in mind, I think sites like this can work in the right circumstances. For now, I'm just hanging out here enjoying the forums. Killing time I guess

Your friends are right. The results are all the same. I have met men from different site. Some I even dated for long periods of time,but most just want to move way to fast. One conversation and they are hearing wedding bells........thats not going to happen. I do think you should meet women. Just make it what it is.....a meeting. Please dont pay for the first date. Go douch. Its a meeting. Hang out for an hour or longer if its going well. Do what feels right. But dont hide behind a computer......thats no fun at all. Good luck Cindy
